Shenanigan
Shenanigan這個詞的拼寫看上去不像英語，發音也比較怪，看來必有一段來歷了。它的意思是「惡作劇、詭計；欺詐」。兒童之間嬉鬧和商場上的欺詐都可稱為shenanigan。

Out of whack
Whack是個口語，意思是「（用棍棒）猛打」，但是out of whack可跟「猛打」沒有一點關系，而是用來形容「不正常、不對勁」的情形，所以下次發現有什麼不對勁的情況，除了用something wrong、out of order之外，你還可以說的更地道：out of whack。

Canard
說「謠言、欺騙」，英語中有個詞叫canard。Canard來自法語，本意是「鴨子，鴨式飛機」，於1864年前後在英語中出現。鴨子怎麼和「欺騙」聯系起來了呢？難道是鴨子生性不誠實嗎？

跟一個外國朋友在網上聊天，他動不動就在對話框里來一個roger。剛開始不知道這個單詞是什麼意思，後來一查字典才明白roger就是OK或者I understand，即：「好、行、收到、知道了」。
