2013年12月考襲次起，全國大學英語四、六級考試委員會對四、六級考試的試卷結構和測試題型作局部調整。調整後，四級和六級的試卷結構和測試題型相同。

四級考試目的

推動大學英語教學大綱的貫徹執行，對大學生的英語能力進行客觀、准確的測量，為提高我國大學英語課程的教學質量服務。

(3)英語四六級題庫及答案擴展閱讀：

四級准考證號一共由15位組成：

1、前5位是學校代碼。

2、第6位是學校的校區代碼，大學英語四六級考試院校考點代碼大全(前6位)。

3、第7-8位是考試年份。

如2014年考試此處應為14，14代表2014年。

4、第9位是該年中第幾次四六級考試。

上半年是第1次，下半年是第2次，那麼2014年12月就是2。

5、第10位是四六級類別，四級是1，六級是2。

6、第11-13位是考場號。

比如你在100考場的，那就是100，14考場的就是014。

7、第14-15位是座位號。

如果你是01號座位，那就是01，29號就是29 。
