眾所周知，學好每一件事都需要興趣，所以要提高英語聽力興趣也同樣很重要，然而，興趣來自於自信，一定要相信自己有這個能力把問題解決．有了興趣，我們就有了興趣，有了激情，我們的思維就更加的活躍，於是我們的記憶就能夠加強，這正好是我們學英語所需要的，我們知道，對英語的熟練運用就是由於我們平時的積累多了，所以要加強積累，激發我們的記憶潛能是很必要的，那就是興趣．相信這個道理不難理解，我們在其他很多方面，興趣使得我們做成了很多事情．從」英語狂人」李陽的激情中，我們或許也能得到啟發．
興趣必然要有，但也不能盲目，行動才是關鍵．英語聽力在很多人看來都會有畏懼感，這是不可取的．因為聽力在於我們反應的靈敏．一旦其他想法佔據我們的思維空間，我們就不能做到有效的聽力．那為什麼有些人的反應那麼靈敏，可以輕松聽清英語呢？其實這還是因為他積累的多，所謂熟能生巧罷了．
具體的做法我想有這幾點吧：1多聽，在聽的同時也分不同情況．當你在聽一篇文章或短文時，你一定要思考，他可能會講些什麼，這樣可提高警惕．不至於他講完了，你才有所反應．聽的時候，你有意識地把主語，謂語，賓語弄清楚，好讓你了解個大概，也就不至於驚慌失措．這樣常常練習下去．我想定有收獲．我自己就是這樣把聽力搞好的，當然我的情況並不能代表大家的情況，可我這個方法仔細想想也有其中的道理．很多的英語名師不是常建議我們在考聽力前在家裡再聽一聽英語嗎？讓我們作好准備工作，就像跑步比賽時，我們得做些熱身運動．就是說，聽力的時候記得要把大腦打開．有些人就認為自己不懂，就什麼都沒想．其實他能懂的．
當你在聽簡單對話時，警惕性同樣要有，這個應該會更簡單點，難就難在一些陌生的片語．說到底，這又關繫到平時的積累．這也沒什麼捷徑，記到了，你就聽懂了．
我在這里建議大家，把那些出現頻率高的生詞牢記，還有些易混的短語．
我們有些人常在記憶方面犯難，其實就是方法不到位的原因，沒有規律的東西誰能記清楚啊．事實上，每個人對他所想要記憶的東西都賦予了它一種規律．我對英語聽力就有這樣的規律，英語聽力中常常是講病人與醫生的對話，老師與學生的對話，警察與報案者的對話，等等．我們可以做些這樣的練習，自己想病人會說些什麼，醫生會說些什麼．我們在無事的時候這樣暢想，其實還挺有意思的．當然這樣的暢想是根據我們剛剛看完的，或聽完的對話．這樣也叫做鞏固．鞏固的方法很多，比如，你還可以找個同學來進行對話，來提高你的口語．不過，這不夠實際，因為不同的水平，不同的想法，甚至對方錯誤的讀音都有可能讓你誤入歧途．還是自己想，自己想往往印象深刻．
既然是聽力，讀音是一定要熟悉的．
