Food culture
The weather in southeast China can make you feel no more clear than other parts, sharp in winter and summer, smooth in spring and autumn. Alternation between four seasons seems changed completely unlike ones in north China. People here are usually considered easy to loose their temper, as their weather changed, actually it』s a common impression with misunderstanding. For centuries people here have being searching for true love, true feelings, meanwhile they always expressed it in a direct way. Goodwill is usually showed before ones become friends, because there』s a belief in their heart, human beings are kind. Why local people live in a such way are effected by history. So does the food culture.
The JiLin style of cuisine is particular for its salty fragrant, which is not too salty to eat. The savor of this style is moving your stomach by its clear perfect tastes, just like Sauerkraut hot pot.
Most of cooking material are mainly collect from crops and livestock etc. JiLin lies on a wide plain, living on its farming, so kinds of crops are local people』s staple food and most their cooking skills are about crops and livestock. With the growing awareness of healthy eating, more and more people now are paying more attention to the importance of healthy diet and an active life. But at the same time, a growing unrest over food safety in the China has caught everyone』s concern.
When it comes to the food safety incidents, especially 2008 Chinese milk scandal, every consumer has much anger to pour upon them. In September 2008, a fresh outbreak of kidney disease occurred, e to baby formula contaminated by melamine. Three babies died and over 6,000 were made sick by the tainted formula. The supplier of the milk, Sanlu Group, is a name brand and is a major player in the instry in China. The company is said to have known of the problem for months, but claims the contaminant came from milk suppliers.
Who should be main responsible for these serious incidents like milk scandal? On one hand, complex China』s food regulations should shoulder part ties. We should realized its monitoring system can be unresponsive, and the government departments that oversee and enforce policies have overlapping and often ambiguous ties. On the other, food procers and suppliers lack deserved responsibility for consumers! What they cares is only their own interest and profit maximization.

一個社會的公共文明水平，可以折射出一個社會一個國家的文明程度，一個人如果不遵守社會文明，小的會影響自身形象，大的會影響國家聲譽。在清朝的時候，大臣李鴻章出使俄國，在一公開場合，惡習發作，隨地吐了一口痰，被外國記者大加渲染、嘲弄，丟盡了中國人的臉。這是一個不遵守社會文明的歷史教訓。
公共文明是社會意識的一種體現，而公共文明又建立在個人的道德修養水平之上。試想一下，如果有人不注重自身的文明修養，他會有良好的公共文明嗎？不會！個人文明禮儀是根、是本。人要有良好的公共文明必須先從自身做起，從身邊做起。所以魯迅先生說：「中國欲存爭於天下，其首在立人，人立而後凡事舉。」「立人」的意思便是要完善人的思想和文明修養，人的文明修養並不是與生俱來的，而是靠後天不斷完善的。要完善個人修養，首先要致力於讀書求學，完善自身的認知水平；認知到達一定水平，就有了明辨是非的能力；有了分辨是非善惡的能力，就要端正自身的心態，不違背自己的良知，努力使自己的一言一行都符合道德的標准，自己的修養便得到完善。這就是古人所說的：格物、致知、誠意、正心、修身。完善個人道德修養，便有了推進社會公共文明的基礎。
而一個社會的文明氛圍對他的民眾亦有莫大的影響。為什麼這么講呢？相信有的同學去過歐洲或日本，就很有親身體會。大的不說，只看看過馬路這樣的小事。只要亮起紅燈，縱使馬路上一輛車都沒有，外國人絕不會過馬路。他們認為這是必須遵守的公共文明。試問，在如此的氛圍中，有誰會肆無忌憚的闖紅燈呢？這就是社會氛圍的力量所在。但再想一想，如果我們不是從自身做起，這社會氛圍又從何而來呢？

我們從小接受文明禮儀的教育，很多同學都可以滔滔不絕地大談文明禮儀。可是看見校園中隨處丟棄的飯盒，飲料瓶，聽著某些同學口中吐出的臟話，怎能不教人痛心疾首呢！難道我們都是「語言的巨人，行動的矮人」么？明代大學者王守仁說「知是行的主意，行是知的功夫；知是行之始，行是知之成；知和行是一個本體、一個功夫。知而不行，只是未知。」我們接受文明禮儀的教育，自己卻吝於履行、甚至反其道而行之，這跟從來沒有接受社會教育有什麼區別!所以我們要實踐社會文明，就要從這「知行合一」上下功夫、從自己的坐言起行上下功夫，就要告別不文明的行為。

However， used wisely credit cards can improve the quality of people』s lives. They can give people access to money to meet sudden unplanned expenses. Properly handled， they can let people control their expenditure and the monthly statements provide a record of where their money has gone.
