單詞、短語的運用
較難的單詞替代簡單的單詞。在單詞方面上，建議在考試前兩三個月背好四級詞彙，四級詞彙不僅能讓我們容易地看懂題目，也能幫助我們在寫作時替換掉簡單的單詞。

文章一般使用三段式。第一段是文章的開頭，主要介紹文章的大概內容，一定要寫好，這是老師改卷時比較看重的一段。可以設置懸念、提出疑問、使用反問為文章添加色彩。
第二段是文章的內容。把你的觀點解析清楚，建議舉一些反例來說明，通過對比加以分析。另外，句子前後連接要有邏輯性。
最後一段是總結。這一段也很重要，必須寫好，主要是作文章的總結。還可以從個人角度，從社會角度，提出一些對未來的建議。

四六級改卷抄時間較長，每天評閱的數量也是固定的，大約在五六百份，而且是單憑，也就是說一份試卷只由一個老師改。但為了保證改卷的公平公正，與客觀題分數的「相關性」是一個重要的評判數據。
