In recent years, college students find it increasingly difficult to get a job. It sounds strange since young college students are usually intelligent, well-ecated ， and eager to bring their talent into full play. Then what cause the strange phenomenon?
There are several reasons for this. To begin with, nowadays college students aim too high. All they want are 「good」 jobs which could offer good salary, comfortable working conditions, high social status. Consequently, most college students are unwilling to accept vacant jobs they consider not 「good」 enough. Another reason is that there is a big gap between the majors some students study in school and the demands of vacant jobs. So companies think some students are not fit for the jobs.
Solution to the problem requires efforts on both the society and the students. The companies should value the student』s talent and knowledge while the latter should not merely aim at material gains. 1. 固定搭配考點：這是翻譯中的最為核心的考點，也是近幾次命題密度最高的知識點，應該引起考生的高度重視。比如說名詞與動詞搭配，形容詞與名詞搭配，動詞與副詞的修飾關系，名詞與介詞搭配，更為重要的是常見的固定片語以及固定表達，這些都可能成為本次考試的命題重點。

例1：By contrast, American mothers were more likely _______________________________ (把孩子的成功歸因於) natural talent.(大綱樣題)。

【考點剖析】這個題目就非常典型。有兩個固定搭配考點：1)be likely to do sth ; 2) owe…to /attribute…to (把…歸因於)

2. 核心語法考點：這部分語法考點大多數是以前詞彙語法考題考點的重現和轉移，這一點要引起同學的重視，盡管詞彙單選題現在不考了，但是還是不能忽視這部分題目，因為考點是一致的。核心語法考點最重要的虛擬語氣，其次是倒裝結構、從句知識、倒裝結構、非謂語動詞等。

例1：The professor required that ___________(我們交研究報告) by Wednesday .

【考點剖析】本題是典型的語法題目。重點考查考生對虛擬語氣的掌握。Require後面接從句的時候，一定會虛擬語氣，語法結構為require that +sb+should+動詞原形。

例2：Not only ___________________________ (他向我收費過高), but he didn』t do a good repair job either (大綱樣題)

【考點剖析】本題同樣為典型的語法考點。考查了考生對倒裝結構這個特殊語法現象的掌握情況。句首的Not only決定了倒裝連接，下文用了過去時態，因此，這里需在he之前加did。所以答案應該為did he overcharge me。

3. 核心動詞以及動詞短語的考查。

例1：Though a skilled worker, ____________________(他被公司解僱了) last week because of the economic crisis .

【考點剖析】本題的重要考點就是考生對「解僱」這個核心動詞的翻譯。可以表示解僱的有dismiss, discharge, fire等。

其次，考生在明確了新四級翻譯的核心考點之後，就應該明確在沖刺階段如何備考，如何應對了。下面我結合自己的理解，給廣大考生提五條沖刺備考建議：

1. 在進行翻譯練習時，盡量力求翻譯答案多樣化，以便擴展思維，開闊思路，掌握重點核心表達。

例：(為了掙錢供我上學)______________________, mother often takes on more work than is good for her

【考點剖析】對於「為了掙錢供我上學「的表達，我們可以說To earn money for my ecation; To earn money for my schooling ; In order to make money to finance my ecation ; In order to make money to fund my ecation ; In order to earn money to afford my ecation等。 表達多樣化，發散性思維，對地道英文表達的積累很有幫助，直接與四級考試中翻譯與寫作題型相關。

2. 絕對不能忽視以前詞彙語法的單項選擇題，盡量在以前的詞彙題中挖掘新四級翻譯考點

例：The author was required to submit an abstract of about 200 words together with his research paper.

上面這道題是2004年1月份四級考試的一道詞彙單選題，不難發現，句中的submit(提交)這個考點詞在2006年6月的新四級的翻譯題中再次出現，這足以說明以前的詞彙語法題目的考點與新題型中的翻譯題考點具有延續性與繼承性。這種考點延續的例子很多，以下舉幾個典型例子，以前詞彙題考點，在未來的翻譯中很可能考到的，拋磚引玉，希望引起重視。

例1：He gave a pledge to handle the affairs in a friendly manner .

【考點探究】 本題為2003年6月四級考試的詞彙單選題，handle the affairs in a friendly manner (以友好的方式處理事務)是一個核心表達，很有可能在翻譯中考查。因為在這句話中，出現了考點疊加的現象：第一，give a pledge to do sth (承諾做某事)；第二，handle(處理)這個核心動詞的用法；第三，in …manner(以…方式)這個重要短語；考生一定要清楚，在復習詞彙單選題的時候，出現考點疊加的地方一定要高度重視，容易命題。

例2：You will not be particular about your food in time of great hunger

【考點探究】be particular about your food(對食物挑剔)這個核心短語很可能成為翻譯考點。除了這個表達外，還可以用be selective about your food 進行替換，這就反映了表達的多樣性。

3. 多背搭配，同時利用經典搭配多造句子，完善語法結構。同時可以提高自己的寫作水平，一舉兩得。

4. 強化重點語法知識。如倒裝結構、虛擬語氣、比較結構、定語從句、狀語從句、非謂語動詞等。

5. 深度分析已考翻譯試題，全面掌握挖掘潛在考點，學會舉一反三。
