The United Kingdom
when people refer to Britain, they often use different names such as Britain, England, the United Kingdom or the U.K. But they are not the official of the country which is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
It is an island country surrounded by the sea. It lies in the north Atlantic Ocean off the north coast of Europe from which it is separated by the English Channel in the south between England and France is quite narrow and the North Sea in the east.
the origins of a nation was from 5000BC to AD1066,the Norman Conquest.William the Conqueror established the feudal system in England. The shaping of the nation was from 1066 to 1381. During the time, It was the best-known event ,the Handred Years' war with France from 1337 to 1453. At the end ,Calais was only part of France that was still in the hands of the English.The expulsion of the English from France is reregarded as a blessing for both courntries. Transition to the modern age was from 1455 to 1688, it started as the Wars of Roses and end with the Glorious Revolution of 1688. the rise and fall of the British Empire
was from 1688 to1990. it happened the Instrial Revolution that lead to economy growing very farst,the Chartist Movement and two world wars when the economy fell down .
Economy recoveried and developed quite significantly in 80s but in 1989 inflation caused by over -heated economy bringing one of the most remarkable periods in the British economy. Until 2008 the economy crises covered all over the world, the British economy inflicted heavy losses. the economy got recoveried slowly from 2009 to now.
the Britain has a long history culture.The William Shakespeare is generally regarded as the greast writer in the English language. And the ecation is very famous in the world like the universities of Oxford and Cambridge popularly known as Oxbridge.Major sports are football or soccer , the most sport in England. Then Cricket,the most typically English of sports, has been in existence since the 16th century. It is played in schools colleges and universities, and amateur teams play weekly games in cities, towns and villages from late April to end of September.
There are many scenic spots. The tower Bridge of London can pass through the giant Titanic are well-known. Stonehenge in Wiltshire constructed before 2000BC. Exactly why it was built is unknown.Big Ben, Palace of Westminster, River Thames and so on you can travell to the United kingdom to feel natural and cultural beauty.

不知道你說的"以往"是指什麼時候啊，我這里就暫定為某個暑假，你可以自己酌情改動的。
When I was a student of grade one in primary school, I went to travel with my parents.During that trip , we three lived in a hotel which was located near the sea. I stayed in the hotel for five days ,and that experience left me with beautiful memory.
On the first floor was a big hall where visitors could come and have a rest. In the southwest of the first floor was a big foutain with classical music,which attracted me a lot.What's more, the food there was really tasty.I enjoyed the roasted cks there very much and I couldn't help eating them even though I was full.In addition , the facilities there were also extraordinary.There was a waste bin in every corner of the room.And the lifts there were quick and quiet.What impressed me most was the fact that there was a spa center on each floor ,where people could relax themselves. Besides, barbour's,restaurants,book stores,KTVs and many other entertainment places surrounded the hotel ,which made my stay there really convinent.Finally ,I just like to say that the assisstants were extremely helpful and all the services there were just so satisfactory.
Anyway, that trip remained one of the best trips in my life.And that hotel made that trip unique.
