帶著家人移居海外開始生活的確存在一些短期內必須面對的問題。自己的另一半必須放棄自己國內的事業，在陌生的環境開始新的事業並不容易。習慣固定人際圈子的老人缺少日常陪伴，容易產生心理問題。這些對就職者來說都是隨時可能爆發的潛在的家庭危機。
盡管以上所說的確合理，但我還是認為以家庭為單位在海外生活有很多長期的優點。一個人在外容易患思鄉病，並且沒人訴說容易導致心理疾病，如果及時和家人商量，精神上有所依靠，家人的支持能最大限度的提升在外工作時的情緒。同時，考慮到一些國家的養老和教育福利，在一家人都適應新環境之後，也能享受更好的養老和兒童的教育資源。
