a. 題目關鍵詞
1). urban areas這個詞很多考生在讀題的時候容易把它忽略不看，這是一種錯誤的讀題方法，因為這類詞是典型的地點限制詞，會對題目的論點把控起到一定的提示作用。它的同義替換詞可以是city center或者是downtown, 它的反義詞是rural areas, outskirts或者是countryside。
2). security measures或者是anti-crime measures是這道題目的核心詞彙，要拿下這一道題目，我們就得進行一定的頭腦風暴，想出有哪些常見的安全性措施，例如監控(monitoring systems), 安檢(security check), 警察巡邏(police patrols)等。
b. 考試指令的分析
顯性的利弊類話題最典型的提問方式就是「Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?」 這種題目的解題技巧就在於怎麼把「outweigh」這個詞在文章中具體地體現出來。它的一些同義表達有greater, more than, exceed等。對於這種提問方式，我們一般給出如下建議。
1). 首先我們需要做的就是在文章的比例方面要有一定的側重性體現。一般如果認為優點大於缺點的時候，那我們在優點這個段落上的字數建議要100字左右，用2-3個論點來支持。而對於缺點來講，就可以少寫一點，字數建議在80字左右，用1-2個論點來支撐中心句。
2). 除了文章長短之外，還有要注意到的就是語氣問題。同樣的如果認為優點大於缺點的，那我們在表達優點的時候就要使用比較堅定的態度或詞彙(should, be supposed to, ought to), 而在表達缺點的時候，語氣適當可以放弱(may, might)或者給出一些可行的建議來弱化它的缺點。
c. 段落示範
在完成了上述的審題過程之後，我們就可以進行全文的書寫了。
1). 先是開頭部分
優缺點類作文的開頭部分和其他的提問方式沒有太大的區別，也是由背景、題目改寫以及個人觀點三部分來構成的。這里重點和大家講解一下最後一句個人觀點的表達方法。推薦句式：
In my opinion, the positive effects are greater than the negative ones.
I think there are more advantages than disadvantages.
From my perspective, although there are some drawbacks, the influence can also be beneficial in many cases.
總結一下，上面三句話的核心意思就是想告訴大家碰到利大於弊這種類型的題目，一定要在開頭觀點部分把它表達清楚，千萬不能有模稜兩可的情況，不然task response這一塊分數就會減少。
2). 當開頭基本明確要求之後，就要開始主體段的寫作了。正如之前分析的，主體段分為兩段，優點和缺點各一段就可以了。先來回憶一下一個段落是由中心句加上幾個論點的形式構成的，論點一般推薦2個。
我們以上面那道題目為例：
1). 先來寫好處的中心句
學生句子：Indeed, having security measures has many advantages for local citizens. (10 words)
句子評價：這一句話就內容和句式上來說並沒有錯誤，但是它基本只能符合5.5分的水平，因為它在詞彙使用和內容豐富性上還是稍微差了點。
教師句子：It is obvious that the installation of security measures in buildings and on streets is an effective means of local citizens』 safety. (22 words)
句子評價：這個句子出彩的地方在於其詞彙的多樣使用，例如installation這個詞，動詞變名詞的用法在作文中的使用頻率還是比較高的。另外an effective means這個短語搭配也不錯，是學生句子中的advantages的另外一個表達。使用in buildings and on streets這個介詞短語來修飾句子可以更好地和之前頭腦風暴中的點相結合，體現內容的充實性。
2). body 1論點的論證（好處段）
這個點最重要的推薦論證手法就是舉例論證，分別對於室內和室外兩種不同的安全措施進行詳細描述即可。但是一定要注意的就是要把優點寫清楚，不然在任務完成度上就不能有一個很好的體現。
a. 室內的措施---監控---起到震懾和提醒作用（與中心句中的in buildings形成一致）
For example, 24-hour surveillance cameras can remind（語氣相對比較堅定） the would-be criminals that they have no chance to escape from the supervising（監管） of the police. Therefore, this kind of deterrent（震懾） makes those potential lawbreakers give up evil intension（罪惡念頭）.（典型的舉例論證，37 words）
b. 室外的措施---警察巡邏---能夠及時抓住罪犯（與中心句中的on street形成一致）
Meanwhile, the frequency of police patrols（警察巡邏） can stop illegal activities（違法行為）, such as thefts and robberies, thus recing the crime rate in open space directly and providing a safe living environment for local citizens. （典型的舉例論證，33 words）
一句中心句加上2個論證合在一起，整個寫好處的段落就是97個字，基本符合我們上面講解的100字左右的要求。
3). body 2論點的論證（缺點段）
缺點部分這一段落的具體寫法和好處是一致的，但是要注意的是由於觀點偏向於優點，所以這一段在篇幅上可以稍微短一點，語氣詞上也可以弱一點。
段落示範：However, what we have to bear in mind is that there are also some negative effects when taking too many security measures in large city centers.（缺點中心句） One of the most worrying effects（重點講一個方面即可） is that these anti-crime devices may increase（語氣詞弱化） the fear of crime and people』s freedom and privacy would be restricted or even invaded e to the surveillance cameras installed in many public places. All these may have a detrimental effect on people』s quality of life. (76 words)
主體段落書寫總結：段落的結構和論證形式在一定程度上和其他提問方式是一樣的。唯一的區別就在於我們應該如何挑選典型的優點和缺點來說服考官。
4). 結尾段的寫法
利弊類作文的結尾段還是分為兩要素。第一部分是觀點的總結，當然這一部分的觀點是可以根據正文部分有效輸入分論點的。第二部分就是可以針對缺點進行題目的升華，換句話說就是可以給出一些建議或者措施把缺點盡量減少或者消除。
