一、原因：
原因論證是寫作中最常用的論證方法，可以通過寫一個現象的原因來承接中心句，一般放在第一層邏輯銜接中使用比較多。
常用連接詞：
…because/since/as…
…e to sth(不放句首)
常用句式：
1. This is largely/partly e to…,
…, which is largely/partly e to… 這主要/部分是由於什麼。
2. The main reason for it is …N/that +完整的句子
…, the main reason for which is… 主要的原因是什麼。
3. A contributing factor is… 其中一個因素是…
4. The social / indivial / technical / economic reason for this phenomenon

五、舉反例：
舉反例也可以稱為是假設論證，最不起眼但最最好用的方法!第一層與第二層邏輯銜接均可以使用。很多時候，假設論證與結果論證可以構成一定程度上的對比論證。
