英語話題閱讀初二
Ⅰ 適合初二的英語閱讀理解都有哪些啊
A rabbit is running into its hole. You may ask, 「What happened?」
Well, when a rabbit sees something dangerous, it runs away. Its tail moves up and down as it
runs. When other rabbits see this tail moving up and down, they run too. They know that there is
danger. The rabbit has told them something without making a sound. It has given them a signal.
Many other animals use this kind of language. When a bee found some food, it goes back to
his home. It cannot tell the other bees where the food is by speaking to them, but it does a little
dance in the air. This tells the bees where the food is.
Some animals say things by making sounds. A dog barks, for example, when a stranger
comes near. A cat purrs (發出呼嚕呼嚕的聲音)when pleased. Some birds make several different
sounds, each with its own meaning.
But human beings have something that no animals have –-- a large number of words about
things, actions, feelings or ideas. We are able to give each other information, to tell or inform other
people what is in our mind or how we feel. By writing words down we can remind ourselves of
the things what have happened, or send messages to people far away. No animals can do this. No
animals has the wonderful power of language.
No one knows how man learned to make words. Somehow he learned to make them. As
centuries went by, he made more and more new words. This is what we mean by language.
People living in different countries made different kinds of words. Today there are about
fifteen hundred different languages in the world. A very large English dictionary, for example,
contains four or five hundred thousand words. But we do not know all these. The words we know
are called vocabulary. We should try to make our vocabulary larger. Read as many books as
possible. When we meet a new word, look it up in the dictionary. A dictionary is the Most useful
book.

Ⅲ 跪求初二英語閱讀理解25篇
告訴你我今年年初三了,初二的閱讀理解並沒有和初三的有太多差別,就是生詞多一點。
We spent a day in the country and picked a lot of flowers. Our car was full of flowers inside! On the way home we had to stop at traffic lights, and there my wife saw the bookshelf.
It stood outside a furniture(傢具)shop. 「Buy it,」 she said at once. 「We』ll carry it home on the roof-rack(車頂架). I』ve always wanted one like that.」
What could I do? Ten minutes later I was twenty dollars poorer, and the bookshelf was tied on to the roof rack. It was tall and narrow, quite heavy too.
As it was getting darker, I drove slowly. Other drivers seemed more polite than usual that evening. The police even stopped traffic to let us through. Carrying furniture was a good idea.
After a time my wife said, 「There』s a long line of cars behind. Why don』t they overtake(超車)?」
Just at that time a police car did overtake. The two officers(警官)inside looked at us seriously when they went past. But then, with a kind smile they asked us to follow their car through the busy traffic. The police car stopped at our village church(教堂). One of the officers came to me.
「Right, sir,」 he said. 「Do you need any more help now?」
I didn』t quite understand. 「Thanks, officer,」 I said. 「You』ve been very kind. I live just down the road.」
He was looking at our things: first at the flowers, then at the bookshelf. 「Well, well,」 he said and laughed. 「It』s a bookshelf you』ve got there! We thought it was--er, something else.」
My wife began to laugh. Suddenly I understood why the police drove here. I smiled at the officer. 「Yes, it』s a bookshelf, but thanks again.」 I drove home as fast as I could.
1、From the story we know that _________.
A.the writer was poor and didn』t buy the bookshelf for his wife
B.the writer』s wife didn』t like the bookshelf at all
C.the writer was always glad to buy something for his wife
D.the writer was not very glad to buy the bookshelf for his wife
2、What made the writer think that carrying furniture was 「a good idea」?
A.He could drive slowly and it was safe.
B.Other drivers would let him go first.
C.His wife could use a new bookshelf.
D.He could save a lot of money and time.
3、Why were the police and other drivers so kind to the writer?
A.Because they thought the writer liked studying very much and needed a bookshelf.
B.Because they didn』t think it was polite to overtake a car with a bookshelf on it.
C.Because they thought somebody in the writer』s family had died and he needed help.
D.Because they thought it was dangerous to carry a bookshelf on a car.
4、Why did the writer』s wife begin to laugh?
A.Because now she knew what mistake the police had made.
B.Because at last her husband understood why the police had driven to the church.
C.Because the officer was always looking at the flowers and the bookshelf.
D.Because the police had helped them a lot.
5、When did the officers begin to realize(意識到)they had made a mistake?
A.Before they arrived at the church.
B.Before they overtook(overtake的過去式)the writer』s car.
C.After one of them looked at the flowers and the bookshelf carefully at the church.

At present, only a few students read after class. Here are several reasons: First, some students are so busy that the don』t have time to do reading e to teachers leaving them too much homework. Second, some students are not likely to read at all. Because they spend too much time in watching TV, searching the Internet and playing games. Finally, as the whole society do not attach importance to reading, parents do not urge students to read.
現在只有少部分學生會做課外閱讀了。以下是幾點原因。首先,很多學生太忙了,因為老師布置給他們很多作業,所以沒時間閱讀。第二,很多學生並不喜歡閱讀,他們花費太多時間看電視、上網和玩游戲了。第三,整個社會對閱讀沒給予很大的重視,所以父母並不督促孩子讀書。
I feel it』s a pity that students do not read as much as before since books are the main resource of knowledge. Books also can take us to where we can』t really go, can help us experience the things we can』t really see. In addition, when you feel upset or irritable, reading is a good way to comfort yourself or make you calm down. I suggest that no matter how busy you are, you should spend some time in reading. Once you stict to it, you』ll get benefits.
我覺得很遺憾,學生不像從前那麼愛閱讀了,然而書是知識的源泉,書籍可以帶我們去從沒去過的地方,帶我們感受從未見過的事物。另外,當你心緒不寧,急躁不安時,閱讀是是你舒適平靜的好方法。我建議大家,不管你有多忙,多花時間閱讀,當你堅持,你能從中獲益。
