三、创设语境教学，强化词汇意义的掌握
英语词汇十分丰富，一词多义情况较多。要使学生掌握词的实际意义，准确无误地运用所学每个单词、词组，注重词汇意义的教学就显得尤为重要。
英语的词义有语法意义和词汇意义两大类。表示语法概念的意义，叫做语法意义。词汇意义是指词所表现的内容。例如，尽管go，

gone，
对于一词多义或一词多性的词以及用法繁多、词语搭配较多的词，也有必要让学生掌握。它有利于培养学生归纳问题、解决问题的能力，有利于培养学生综合思维的能力。往往可以采取辐射式进行教学，其教学方式是以一个新授词为中心，将该词已学过的含义和用法进行辐射，并各写出一句话，让学生进行分析、归纳，然后要求学生根据不同的词义及用法各自造句。例如:

教师还要借助语境教会学生拓展词汇，如运用构词法、联想法拓展词汇，引导学生在语境中学习词汇。学生掌握了构词法就能用较少的时间掌握较多的词汇，并能通过词缀的了解来猜测词义，从而扩大词汇量。联想，也是拓展词汇的好方法。心理学认为，联想实际上反映了客观事物之间的联系，它在促进人的记忆，想象和思维等心理活动中占重要地位，常见的联想方法有比较联想，近邻联想，情景联想等。在具体的词汇学习中，可视学习内容，材料的不同而采取不同形式的联想方法，比如，指导学生用比较联想方法学习同义词和近义词。另外，教师要引导学生在语境中学习词汇，以全面地认识、理解和运用词汇，常用的方法有:观察、对比、分析、联想等。结合语境，学习词汇，可以使得词汇不再抽象，变得熟悉具体。
四、拓宽综合训练，在运用中巩固词汇
进行听、说、读、写全方位的运用，是词汇学习、也是语言学习的最终目标。听，说，读，写，要多管齐下。词是视，听，动的复合体，词汇教学应坚持听，说，读，写全面发展的原则，引导学生在运用中学习词汇，在实践中巩固和增加词汇，培养语感。1.听:听句子、短文，对话等。教师要指导学生听懂关键词、关键句，使学生掌握地道的发音，储备大量的语言信息，为口语、书写打下良好的基础。2.说:引导学生积极参加口语训练，通过口头问答、对话、陈述、自由讨论等方式，巩固和运用词汇，表达思想，交流情感。3.读:指导学生阅读。通过广泛的阅读，让单词、习惯用语、固定搭配等源源不断地刺激大脑皮层，巩固和扩大学生的词汇量，培养学生的语感。反之，词汇量的增加又会促进阅读水平的提高。4.
写，教师要指导学生通过写来巩固和运用词汇，表达思想。
另外，如教师用英语授课;不看书听课文录音，并在任何停顿处都能进行复述或翻译;定期开同步听力课等，就是给学生创造一个听的语言环境，使他们在这样的环境中，对学过的词汇做到耳熟能详。再如让学生每日一分钟演讲;课堂上用英语回答问题;复述课文;看幻灯讲故事，进行课本剧表演等，是进一步创造说的语言环境，给学生提供实践机会，用学过的词汇，讲熟悉的事。还有如做完型填空、阅读理解练习;组织读中学生英文报刊;改写课文;写小作文并对其优劣进行评点等等，也都是有效的训练方法。
此外，培养学生良好的词汇学习习惯，如正确使用词典，自觉积累词汇、及时复习等等也很关键。
总之，词汇是高中英语教学的重点和难点，是语言的三大要素之一，是交际的重要基础，是语言的建筑材料。这种材料的好坏直接关系到建筑质量问题。没有词汇，也就没有了听说读写。因此，教师摸索出切实可行的词汇教学方法对于解决教学中存在问题，提高学生的词汇量和词汇运用能力是很有意义的。

1、“碰地雷”：在英语单词教学中，学生不太愿意跟读。用此法不错。在一个词下放一个地雷， 这个词是不能读的，如果学生不小心跟读，就是踩到雷了。大家一起数one two three,bomb,向他砸过去！有趣，气氛也好，学生在玩中也学得扎实！
2、补全句子：在学习句中，要慢读，必要时分解读。在跟读几遍后，可以让学生补全老师没说完的部分。比如：my name is rebecca.可让学生补rebecca、is rebecca、name is rebecca。这是个反应练习，可让学生熟练掌握句子。
3、将错就错 ：
(1) 学生坐在原位，注视着教师。 教师在教室里随意走动，他可以突然停在一个学生面前，用手指着自己的鼻子说：This is my eyes(有意讲错) 那个学生也将错就错，指着自己的眼睛说：This is my nose.
(2) 如果学生讲错了，就让他代替教师，再同样地做一遍。

词汇是语言的基本单位。如果把语言比喻成一栋大楼，那么句型和语法就是大厦的结构，而词汇和短语则是这栋大楼的砖和瓦。在平时的英语教学中，衡量一个学生的英语水平，很大程度上要看学生对词汇的识别情况以及在听、说、读、写等语言实践活动的应用。所以可见教师如何生动高效地进行词汇教学，培养学生良好的词汇学习习惯，也是摆在教学实践中的一个重难点。所以加强词汇教学的直观性、增强词汇教学的趣味性、利用语境，突出词汇教学的整体性也显得特别重要。

英语词汇往往给小学生一种枯燥乏味的感受，无兴趣可言，所以就无从记忆词汇了。所以创设良好的英语学习环境，激发学生的学生兴趣，寓教于乐，可见非常重要。在教学过程中，教师可以运用单词卡片，利用实物，等以形象直观的教学情境让学生的大脑产生兴奋，科学的记忆规律告诉我们，大脑的兴奋刺激会有更高的记忆效率。当然，实物和卡片的意义不仅仅在于利用实物和卡片进行重复地认读、领读、跟读练习，长此以往，也使学生有枯燥疲惫之感。教师要善于运用，提倡“巧”用。比如利用相关的趣味游戏，让学生们在轻松的环境中学习也是非常重要的。除此之外，也可以设立情景教学，更可以充分的把教与学融入在多姿多彩的真情实景中，在欢乐、活跃的氛围中去激发学生的学习热情，培养学生的学习兴趣，化抽象为直观，化刻板为生动，帮助学生寻找到掌握英语学习的捷径。比如低年级，结合低年级学生的性格特点，把词汇教学融入句子操练中，然后创设相关情景，让学生学中有乐，乐中获知。那中、高年级的词汇学习要求学生在原有基础上掌握单词拼读与拼写能力，这是一个非常重要的词汇学习阶段，词汇量的不断增加使不少学生对英语学习产生了困惑。在教学中，我们把培养学生拼读单词的能力确立为重点，指导学生正确有效地拼读单词。与此同时，该年级的学生集中注意的时间仍然相对较短，因此，在教学中组织活动更应该以学生兴趣为出发点了。
二、扎实平日的词汇教学，让词汇教学更加有整体认知感和实效性
1、培养学生拼读单词的能力。
拼读单词首先离不开字母的透彻掌握，因为，字母是单词构成的基本要素。在教学生拼读单词时，拼读以正确为主，速度为辅，在确保拼读正确的情况下提升速度。拼读时，强调规范，以达到音与形结合的目的，只拼不读的训练模式往往造成学生朗读能力与听说能力的下降。以单词pencil为例，我们提倡的拼读方式为：pencil pencil p-e-n-c-i-l pencil其中，升降调为了适应不同的句式，使语言在运用时能自然地抑扬顿挫。另外，拼读时，为了提高听觉上的美感，引导学生的拼读一个个字母时一般以升调起始直至最后一个字母。最后，适时地帮助学生归纳总结字母组合的发音，提高学生拼读单词的能力，并提高学习单词的效率。
2、将单词融入句中，使之整体化。
学习词汇的目的就是能让学生把孤立的单词会合成不同的语句来表达想要表达的意思，所以，在句子中掌握的单词是有生命力的单词。将单词融入句中，除了能帮助学生正确理解单词的含义，还有利于培养学生的语感。
3、注重语音语调，通过语音语调的变化引发学生的学习兴趣。
学生的语音语调直接影响着词汇学习的效率。教学中，教师积极引导，教给学生正确的语音语调，培养学生良好的读音习惯是十分重要的。枯燥乏味的反复朗读往往不能吸引学生，而有变化的朗读不但能吸引学生，还能使学生乐于朗读。比如，在教读单词时，要让学生感受到语调的变化，要求学生读出单词的升降调。在出示单词时，要求学生根据老师手势的升与降迅速读出单词的语调。再如，音量的渐强渐弱，速度的由慢到快等让学生在不断的变换中快乐地学习单词，学习效果非常好。
4、采取多种多样的操练方式。
教学单词离不开操练，但大量的机械操练使学生味同嚼蜡，毫无趣味。有意识地创造一些操练活动，能得到事半功倍的效果。另外，游戏和比赛是学生喜闻乐见的活动，能让学生在游戏的过程中记忆单词，通过竞赛的形式来促进单词的学习也是很有效的方法，学生之间的竞争意识是很强的，为了赢得比赛，学生会加倍努力地去认识和学习单词，利用这一点促进学生学习词汇的积极性。
