To achieve dreams, we should, first of all, have a clear long-term goal in our life. Besides, we should have short term goals in different periods of life. As we know, it is these short term goals that make our long-term goal possible. Second, we should be both perseverant and hardworking. Whatever we do, there are always two possibilities: success and failure. We should never lose heart when we come across difficulties or when we are confronted with failure. Instead, we should learn from our experience, build up our confidence and work even harder and smarter towards our purpose. In order for you to get what you want, you first have to know what you want. It may sound simple, but many people still don't do it.

If you truly don't know what you want, start trying different things. Start experimenting and playing with life.

2. Dream

Don't be afraid to dream big. You've probably been told that you can't go after your dreams and you can't live the life that you desire.

This advice usually comes from people that have given up. And it couldn't be further from the truth.

Those are not the people you should listen to. Dream big and go after your dreams. You can do it, but you have to make the decision to start.

3. Trust Your Intuition

Once you have become clear about what you want, it's time to start trusting your intuition. This may mean following your gut, trusting your heart, or whatever terminology you feel comfortable using.

Once you become clear on what you want, you'll start to notice interesting coincidences happening in your life.

You may bump into an old friend, or a piece of information that takes you down a path that naturally leads to exactly what you want.

The universe works in mysterious ways.

4. Relax

You may not always see exactly where you're going, and that's okay.

Most people want to know exactly what steps to take in order to make their dreams come true, but my experience shows that the universe doesn't work that way.

So just relax, take a deep breath, and enjoy the ride that we call life. It's a mystery and it's a lot of fun if you allow it to be.

5. Observe

As I mentioned above, when you have a clear vision of what kind of life you want to live and what you want to do in life, new possibilities will open up.

We really have no clue about how the universe works, but we do know that most successful and happy people in the world today have a clear vision of what they want, and they go after it with relentless determination.

Step into the uncertainty and enjoy.

6. Let Go of Obstacles

Most of the obstacles on your path are created by you. They may be worries, fears, or different habitual thought patterns you've picked up along the way.

You can always come up with excuses, but you have to ask yourself how badly you want a life full of purpose, passion, and fulfillment.

Everyone wants that life, some more than others, and it is just a question of taking action and letting the excuses pass you by as you speed forward.

7. Have Fun

Last, but not least is to have fun. When you go after your dreams, make the process enjoyable.

Some people make it a struggle and think they have to work insanely hard to get where they want to be.

There are easier ways to get there.

Besides, life isn't about reaching a goal, even if it is your dream life, life is about enjoying the present moment and having fun, at least that's what I choose to believe.

Different states of consciousness (like awake, asleep, alert, drowsy, excited, bored, concentrating or daydreaming) cause different brain wave activity. Our conscious mind, or the part we think with, our "window" into life, only takes up a very small portion of our brain activity. (some say this is only 10%) Other areas control things like breathing, heartbeat, converting light to vision, sound to hearing, balance when we walk, etc. etc. This too has it's own percentage (small). Another area controls imagination. This area is widely an undiscovered frontier. Imagination is more then dreaming of a new car or picturing someone with their cloths off! When you look at clouds and see shapes, or wood grain and see images, this is the "order from chaos" part of your imagination. The mind cannot deal with chaos very well, in fact it will resist it and sometimes manufacture order. (very important to the dreaming process.)This too occupies a small percentage of brian activity. Then there is memory. Memory is vast! And I believe it occupies more of the brains resources then most people believe.
