2012年6月9日曾经考过一个有关“新闻”的题目，原题如下：

回到本次考题，我们发现题目要求与2012年6月9日不同，这次问的是关于获知新闻的方式：阅读报纸是不是获知新闻的最好方式？是否还有其他更好的方式？
这种提问方式我们也不陌生，2018年3月3日和3月10日两次考试就是这种提问方式，其中3月3日问的是监狱是不是解决犯罪问题的最好方式，3月10日问的则是提高车价和油价是不是解决交通和污染问题的最好方式。回答这种问题的思路通常是先肯定题目中提供的方式的有效性，然后提出这个方式存在的问题，最后提出其他更好的方式。
比如本次考试，我们就可以先论证报纸的确是获知新闻的很好途径（包括阅读心理、深度分析等），但报纸的问题就是出版速度慢，而且需要花钱购买，携带也不方便，而电视、网络则可以解决这方面的问题，因此可以通过各种媒介来获取新闻，而不是仅仅依靠报纸。

除了参加培训班和学习有关雅思写作方面的书籍，笔者推荐以下国内出版的回英文报纸和答杂志作为平时的补充材料：《21世纪英文报》(21st Century)、《广州英文早报》(Guangzhou Morning Post)和《英语文摘》。
部分考生对笔者推荐国内出版的英文报刊杂志表示不解，他们认为国内出版的英文报纸杂志水平不及外国英文报刊高，阅读价值不大。不可否认，国内英文报刊的整体水平无法与外国英语报刊相提并论，这是很正常的事情，毕竟英语不是我们的母语。作为写作老师，我推荐上述报刊杂志的理由有以下几点：首先，上述报刊的文章内容和语言难度较贴近国内读者，且相当部分内容考生已经在中文报刊上看过，这样可以降低阅读难度，增强考生的自信心，激发阅读兴趣;其次，上述报刊的文章主要由国内英文记者撰写，虽然与native English writer的文章有一定差距，但比较而言，仍属上乘，值得广大考生认真学习，模仿度较高，不至于曲高和寡，打击考生的信心;第三，不少文章的内容与雅思写作和口语话题密切相关，考生可以从中积累相关论点论据和漂亮的表达
I. 学雅思为出国做打算的读什么英文报纸呢
国内的报纸其实不太适用你出国需要的，尤其你要考雅思的话阅读内容都是专业回性的东西，报纸的内答容太宽泛，如果不想做市面上的雅思阅读真题的话，可以上Economist的网站，一本英国的经济杂志，内容相当专业，实体杂志不太清楚国内是否能买到（我在首都机场道是看到过有卖的）
另外一我推荐看英语文摘，应该是英语沙龙那一系列的，里面的文章也都是外国人写的
不过我还是建议你如果只是针对考试的话，还是看雅思方面的阅读比较好

……汗，你买一套剑桥雅思就明白了。如果提高阅读，读什么都行，小说都行，只要是英文原版。
