题目:
Some people think that the amount of noise people make have to be controlled strictly, others say that people are free to make as much noise as they wish. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
It is generally agreed that making noise is an impolite behavior. Some people take a position that general public has the responsibility to control their noise strictly but others consider whether to make noise is a personal right. In my view, noise should be controlled depends on different conditions.
It is inevitable to make some noise in daily life. For example , in the final of World Cup, every fan will rise to their feet and cheer wildly when their favorite player score in the final minute of the game. Likewise, the public will also cheer and even scream, making a series of high pitched sound , to welcome festivals like carnival or the New Year. People make noise in these situations in order to express their positive emotions, which is reasonable and acceptable.
However, to control noise is necessary in most eases, both for indivial and society. To indivial, employees can increase their work efficiency in a quiet working environment. Too much noise will distract people’s attention so that they may not complete their urgent task on time . Besides, some medical research has proved that noise may cause negative influence on people’s physical health and even result in some diseases, such as heart attack and high blood pressure. Therefore, it is better for people to keep away from noise for physical and mental health. From the social perspective, controlling noise reflects people's mutual care and attention. Only ill this way can people build a harmonious social relationship. both in relatives and coworkers. If everyone did not make any unnecessary noise, society could be more peaceful.
In conclusion although much noise throughout our life is unavoidable, it should be control by the government since it may be harmful for personal health and social harmony.

The view of new technology taking place of the old ones.
The new will take the place of the old sooner or later,so in my eyes it is acceptable and normal that the new-born technology has superseded those old ones.In the field of media ,as a matter of fact, more and more people use E-mail instead of writting a letter. Also you could find that newspaper become less popular among the teenagers, they are more likely to surf the internet to get touch with the information around the world. And these days In China the government has already carried out the plan that replace the analog signals with digital signals for TV(模拟信号向数字信号转变).You could also find that more and more people are carrying their own laptops to work, and they just become smaller and faster. In a word, the whole world is moving toward a more advanced level,so it is to the technology. It is a rather good phenomena that more and more technologies are born in this world. So it is a unstoppable trend that the new take the place of the old.I think rather optimistic to this question.
Some people think that living in big cities is bad for health. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Key: words: living in big cities, health
Living in big cities, health
论点: be bad for health
Living in big cities is bad for health
Nowadays, a majority of people who work and study in big cities tend to have a sub-health condition. Some people deem that living in metropolises can exert a negative impact on their physical fitness. After serious consideration, I approve that such lifestyle goes against people’s health, in view of urban surroundings and various social pressures.
First and foremost, deteriorating circumstances in conurbations have increased health risks. In other words, escalating environmental pollution has caused prevalent diseases. For instance, smog generated from car emissions has incurred sickness in people’s respiratory system. Besides, household garbage and pollutants from fossil fuels have seriously affected the quality of drinking water, which can lead to serious diseases including cancer. Hence, living in conurbations poses harm to people’s fitness.
Secondly, fierce competition and survival pressures in conurbations exert burdens on people’s mental and psychological health. Conspicuously, real-life pressures can deprive them of a sense of security and stability, or even worse, break them down. For example, when living in metropolises, most people tend to work and study overtime, and consequently, to result in a nervous and anxious situation without enough rest and relaxation. Besides, such situation can weaken people’s immune system so that they will easily fall ill. From this point, living in big cities leads to a lower level of happiness and poorer health conditions.
On the other hand, living in urban areas can contribute to people’s well-being with plenty of recreational facilities and entertainment venues: both are established to help people relax their mind and body and relieve pressures. However, most urban residents have failed to participate those leisure activities because they are financially strained and too occupied with their work.=
In brief, sliding urban living environments and real life pressures have posed detriments to people’s well-being.

If you wanna talk about playground legends, the conversation begins right there. Demetrius "Hook" Mitchell is the legend. You can hear all the stories in the world, but you'll never believe it until you see it. He's done inhuman stuff, unreal stuff.
was by far the best player to come out of Oakland. Demetrius Hook Mitchell is the Bay's most notorious legend. Every cat with at least minimal knowledge of playground ball has a Hook Mitchell story. The tales of his leaping ability are common place. Jumping over cars, bikes and people wasn't no thing to Hook. Before his descent into narcotics hell, Hook was nothing but heavenly. If he'd just kept his head straight, he'd be in the league right now, dominating.
Unfortunately, Hook lives in a prison cell now and in other folks' memories.
Several NBA stars who also grew up in Oakland, including Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, Antonio Davis, Drew Gooden, and Brian Shaw, all of whom played with Mitchell on the streets, and were astonished by his skills, but were unable to help him avoid his sorry fate. They describe his unstable home life and the longing for community that drove him to the streets. Mitchell himself is shown playing prison league games, and is surprisingly still able to play above the rim.
His story, like others, was written on courts between the West and East Bay.
