With equal passion I have sought knowledge. I have wished to understand the hearts of men. I have wished to know why the stars shine. And I have tried to apprehend the Pythagorean power by which number holds sway above the flux. A little of this, but not much I have achieved.
Love and knowlidge , so far as they were possible, led upward toward the heavens. But always pity brought me back to earth. Echoes of cries of pain reverberate in my heart. Children in famine, victims tortured by oppressors, helpless old people a hated burden to their sons, and the whole world of lonelines, poverty, and pain make a mockery of what human life should be. I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot, and I too suffer.
This has been my life. I have found it worth living, and would gladly live it again if the chance were offered me.

就我個人意見來說《英語角》還是不錯的，內容有點像劇本，主要是通過人物之間的對話這種方式去提高口語（表達）能力的——每一篇東東都有列舉相關的句型句式並進行剖析，而且針對不同的對話背景有相關的背景介紹（文化）。中英對譯。難度不大，適合初中生閱讀（閱讀年齡：14～20歲）

《英語畫刊》（初一～初三）
針對不同水平的學生而量身定做。主要欄目有名著之窗、國際新聞、風雲人物、時文閱讀、五洲四海、卡通列車、文娛天地、體育之窗、我們的園地、英語作文、妙語如珠、你問我答、課測練習、學習指導、閱讀理解、科技縱橫、文化博覽、趣味小品、幽默與笑話等眾多欄目，並配有與英語教學同步的練習和中、高考復習資料。
《瘋狂英語中學版》我還是覺得難度稍微大了點，而且可讀性不太強（我買過一本，但覺得沒有興趣去看）

也不妨可以考慮一下報紙：《二十一世紀學生英文報》有初一～高三版，以閱讀材料為主，而且分為8個版面－主版（熱點），時事頻道，青春校園（講述校園故事），知識之窗（2版），輕松閱讀，英語加油站和文娛空間。最重要的是它的內容與課本內容完全無關，不像《英語周報》《英語輔導報》那樣，它旨在提高閱讀能力和詞句積累，而且有閱讀提示"teens點金」——包括中考詞彙、考點看台、拓展詞彙、真題演練等等，我覺得這個挺不錯，強烈推薦，訂了2年了..

Mr Perkin's New Car
