科技類的我不懂，不過要理解文化環境的話，電影是最好的辦法。既然是看科技類回的文答章還能理解的話，英文的底子應該不錯。第一件事丟掉英漢詞典，那是學習語言的垃圾障礙。查詞只能用英英。我自己一直用的郎文高階。建議看原版英文電影，如果聽力不是太強的，先看有字幕版，第一次大略看，整個通讀理解，第2次逐字逐句抄下來， 然後反復模仿，不光發音，語氣語調全要模仿，就算是怪腔怪調的也不能怕丟臉。這個過程其實很類似瘋狂英語。但是確實行相當之有效。多模仿幾部就能看出效果。後面就可以看一些偏重類的電影或電視節目，網上有軟體可以看到國外電視節目的，或者找找看有沒這類視頻下載。你可以看類似科技咨訊類的節目，同樣是通讀後進行反復模仿。這樣無意識的累積大量的科技類詞彙，並且不是強制的每句都跟中文意思對上號。最重要的是你看字幕的時候，千萬不要去進行翻譯！簡單說，是直接一晃過去腦袋就知道這句話要表達什麼，而不是翻譯成中文，這個是重點！舉個最簡單的例子是你聽到APPLE腦子里出現的是個蘋果而不是蘋果這個中文詞。如果一直靠著英翻漢漢翻英的思維轉換的話，一輩子也不可能真正理解外國文化。

In 1826, a Frenchman named Niepce needed pictures for his business .But he was not a good artist. So he invented a very simple camera .He put it in a window of his house and took a picture of his garden .That was the first photo.
The next important date in the history of photography (攝影術) was in 1837. That year, Daguere, another Frenchman ,took a picture of his reading room .He used a new kind of camera in a different way. Surtsey was born in 1963.Scientists saw the birth of this island. It began at 7.30 a.m. on 14th November. A fishing boat was near Iceland. The boat moved under the captain's（船長）feet. On Nov.18th,1908,three men went up in a balloon. They started early in London. The headman was Augusta Gaudron, and the other two men were Tannar and Maitland. They had a big balloon and they were ready for a long way.

One of them fell on an icy lake and made a black hole in the ice.

At last they pulled the box into the basket. It was still snowing; so they climbed to get away from the snow. They rose to 5,100 metres! Everything became icy. They were so cold that they decided to land. They came down in Poland heavily but safely. They had travelled 1,797 kilometers from London!
