這些內容最適合的是看最初的原始材料，很多改寫的版本都有些大雜燴，而且可能有部分內容會刪減。但是有些時候原始材料可能比較枯燥，不知道LZ興趣如何，能否讀下去。

北歐的斯堪的納維亞神話體系，主要構建於中世紀的英雄史詩，其中最著名的是艾達Edda和貝奧武甫Beowulf，還有關於勃艮第體系的神話尼伯龍根之歌Nibelungenlied，甚至包括古法語寫成的《羅蘭之歌》（chanson de Roland）等
古希臘的神話只要看兩個人的作品足以。無論是知名度還是其廣度和深度，就是Ἡσίοδος（英語應該是Hesios）的《神譜》 Θεογονία（英語應該是Theogony）和荷馬Ὅμηρος（Homer）的的《伊利亞特》Ἰλιάς（Iliad）與《奧德賽》Ὀδύσσεια（Odyssey）
埃及只能看後人整理的了，因為自己沒留下比較完備的神話體系方面的作品。法國人在埃及學上屬於頂級水平（19世紀的盧浮宮館長大師商博良就是埃及象形文字的破譯者），可以看看他們的作品，不過大部分都是法語。看英文作品的話，後人整理的書籍我只看過Barnett, Mary. Gods and Myths of Ancient Egypt. London: Regency House, 1996。裡面有彩色插圖，但是這種書籍你懂得，精裝價格很貴。我是以前在圖書館看的，買我是不樂意買的。

英文的書籍因為我的英語不是很給力，讀的少，何況我更喜歡直接讀古希臘語和拉丁語原文，因為翻譯永遠是信息的缺失。當然，畢竟讀英語的還是好過閱讀中文的，那個語言的隔閡更大。

希臘神話里，目前比較出色的，一個是德國人 古斯塔夫·施瓦布 寫的，另一個是俄版國人 尼·庫恩權 寫的，因為都不是英文著作，所以買他們寫的英文版沒什麼意義。至於雙語的，我看了下基本沒有名社出品的，你可以在亞馬遜，京東找找，看看評價買一本。不過我覺得最好還是要買名社的，能保證錯誤率低一些，不然英文單詞拼錯了萬一你沒發現，那其實是誤人子弟了。

希臘神話的眾神卻不同。他們有著人一樣的情感，相比之下更接近人類。上至至高無上的宙斯，下至沒有權力與世無爭的小神，他們都被允許有人的情感，可以和其他的神甚至是凡人發生感情。據說，希臘許多著名的大英雄就是神的後裔，有著神的血統。
希臘神話中的眾神們不但有人一樣的情感，還會參與人類世界的紛爭。著名的特洛伊戰爭，在荷馬詩史中的描述就是神與神，神與人之間的戰斗。神也一樣會受傷，會流血，會傷心流淚。像人一樣的真實，唯一和人類有區別的是，他們可以永保青春，有不死之身，這一點還是和中國神話的神仙們一樣的。
唯一有一樣我不大能理解的就是他們復雜的感情生活和婚姻關系。我明白中外的歷史文化背景不同，但是，亂倫的事情還是全世界都一樣吧。再開放的國家也不會允許父娶女，母嫁兒吧？聽起來似乎有些荒謬。姐弟兄妹之間的通婚還是有先例的，古埃及的皇族不是為了血統純正的問題實行過嗎。
