We remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality. In her opinion, everyone is the same at the God』s feet. Though there are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality.
We also remember her striving for life, her toughness and her confidence…
When we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty face or a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but a huge charm of her personality.
Actually, she wasn』t pretty, and of course, the ordinary appearance didn』t make others feel good of her, even her own aunt felt disgusted with it. And some others even thought that she was easy to look down on and to tease, so when Miss Ingram met Jane Eyre, she seemed quite contemptuous, for that she was obviously much more prettier than 『the plain and ugly governess』. But as the little governess had said: 『Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!』 This is the idea of equality in Jane Eyre』s mind. God hadn』t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, God gave her a kind mind and a thinking brain. Her idea of equality and self-respect impress us so much and let us feel the power inside her body.
In my mind, though a person』s beauty on the face can make others once feel that one is attractive and charming, if his or her mind isn』t the same beautiful as the appearance, such as beauty cannot last for, when others find that the beauty which had charmed them was only a falsity, it』s not true, they will like the person no more. For a long time, only a person』s great virtue, a noble soul, a beautiful heart can be called as AN EVERLASTING BEAUTY, just as Kahill Gibran has said, that 『Beauty is a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted』. Jane Eyre, one of the most famous works of Charlotte Bronte』s, is an inspiring story about a miserable girl who pursue freedom, independence and true love. The story of the independent minded Jane and her love affair with Mr. Rochester opened up new dimensions for women both as writer and generations of feminists. Jane Eyre, the tough girl, really impresses me very much.
One of Jane』s impressive and admiring personalities is her self-respect. She wasn』t beautiful, and the ordinary appearance didn』t make others feel good of her. And some others even thought that she was easy to look down on and to tease. But as Jane had said: 『Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!』 This is the idea of self-respect in Jane Eyre』s mind. God hadn』t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, God gave her a kind mind and a thinking brain. Her idea of self-respect impresses me so much and let me feel the power inside her body.
The other gorgeous personality I value very much is her selfless love. After leaving Thornfield with a broken heart, Jane experienced quite a lot. She refused the proposal of St. John, a handsome priest who helped her a lot when she was starving. Later, Jane inherited a wealth of fortune from her uncle which she shared with her three cousins. But when hearing that Mr. Rochester had lost his eyesight and made his body serious injured while saving his mad wife in a conflagration ring which his wife died and all his property was destroyed, Jane returned to Thornfield immediately and devoted her love to Mr. Rochester. What a great decision for her to go back! If I were Jane, I couldn』t promise to get married with Mr. Rochester who is in such a terrible situation. However, Jane did with all her heart!
I like the novel very much, especially the character 『Jane Eyre』 who is a great woman in my mind. Jane makes me realize the importance of self-respect and understand what the true love is. In this sophisticated society, we may not avoid being contaminated, but we can remind ourselves of Jane Eyre and try to be an independent and strong-minded person who treasures self-esteem and true love.

My own feeling after reading《Jane Eyre》
First of all, I should say that the author』 name was already reverberate like thunder in my mind .But I didn』t knew 《Jane Eyre》 is her work actually.
So today, I』d like to experience this amazing story and also taste
the world famous masterpiece by reading book.
I think, we should clear and definite what type this book is firstly.
But to be honest ,I can』t give you a certain answer by myself ,because I just can』t understand why Jane fall in love with Rochester .To my own opinion ,they are just asking and answering some strange questions all the time .Jane even don』t know many things about Rochester, for example ,his wife , daughter and include his servant.
It』s fall in Love at First sight, maybe. So I could tell you that it is a love story maybe romantic story with a bad grace.
I have askedsome of my friends who have read this book before about how they valuate Jane.They told me she is obstinate, pitiful and beautiful. But to me, exceptobstinate and pitiful, she is always a nice but not beautiful girl .Why she isn』tbeautiful? It』s not necessary. You can imagine a girl who has been experiencedthe suffering, and then a natural temperament will be thrown off. Maybe it』scalled elegance. So you can see she didn』t show any lowliness when she talks toRochester andeven the headmaster of school.
Sometimes I regard sending Jane to theLowood School as a good choice, even thought the strict and grim teachers are there. Because her aunt violates the promise of his husband and always rides roughshod over Jane.
In school, Janemakes a good friend called Helen. Even though there is a cold headmaster, shealso gets many cares from her friends and Miss Temple. But unfortunately, Helen died becauseof the typhus. It』s so hard to Jane for finding a real confidant, but they areapart now.
