適合小學英語教學的繪本資源沒有最優秀最出色的，只有最適合學生學習，最能取得教學成效的。那麼怎樣的繪本資源是最適合小學英語教學的呢？它需要遵循以下幾點原則：
1、符合小學生這個特定年齡段的理解能力與欣賞能力。 2、能激起小學生閱讀英語的強烈慾望和興趣。
3、能關注小學生自主閱讀能力的培養，重視他們看圖、賞圖水平的提高，並起到一定的教育意義。
4、能起到文化傳承，啟迪智慧的良好作用。
三、「繪本」與小學英語教學的優質整合
小學英語繪本教學其實是一種故事性教學的模式，它十分符合小學生的年齡特點,借用栩栩如生的人物形象和環環相扣的故事情節進行教學的方式，有利於吸引小學生易分散的注意力，激發和維持他們濃郁的學習興趣。為了弄明白有趣的故事情節，小學生會盡力地調動注意力做到認真地聆聽，從而提高聽力理解能力，培養英語學習的語感。
（一）「繪本」在不同學段的對應整合
不同年齡段的學生，對英語知識的理解能力、接受能力，和情感體驗程度都是不同的，所以，在繪本的選擇上，教師也應考慮學生年齡段及知識層次的特點，給予不同的指導。
例如學習動物和顏色時，可以介紹《brown bear,brown bear, what do you
see?》給學生，故事中的棕熊四處旅行，在旅行的過程中見到了不同顏色的動物與人物，除了繽紛的色彩與圖像外，另可搭配歌曲編唱。隨著教師的引導:

在學習數字的時候，從簡單的繪本《penguins 123》和《cat count》開始認識。《penguins
123》讓學生簡單明白1到12的大概狀況，接著《cat
count》則從1數到10，然後突然到了55，所以結合這兩本書的特點，孩子一起閱讀很快就可以明白英文數字單詞的拼讀規律了。當學生掌握了基本的數字單詞，教師和學生可以一起閱讀《five
little sharks swimming in the sea》, 《five little bats flying in the
night》孩子們在這么有趣的故事書的陪伴先學習英語，肯定會有更多的體會。一本優秀繪本的閱讀過程，就是一次珍貴的審美經歷。也許孩子們分辨不清那些色彩的名字，更不懂的畫面的經營布局，但請相信孩子的眼睛，會為美麗而閃亮，會將眼睛的感受立即傳達到內心，從而形成一種逐漸成熟的視覺經驗，美好的經驗會積極影響到孩子在成長過程乃至一生的美感與情操。
（二）情感教育在「繪本」中的滲透與整合
小學英語教學的每一個環節每一個過程，都充滿著濃郁的情感因素。可以說，情感活動滲透在小學英語教學的方方面面，情感教學是英語教學的一個重要方法和有效途徑。而繪本這個給學生帶來強烈美感體驗的藝術品，更是將豐富的情感渲染得濃郁醇厚。
英語情感教學是指英語教師在英語教學活動中，以情感學教育理論和教育心理學理論為指導，在充分考慮英語認知因素的同時，針對學生的情感心理發生特徵，著意突出語言特點的一種教學模式。這種模式綜合融會教學流程各個構成要素，充分發揮情感的動力調節作用，激發學生積極健康向上的情感，從而達到使學生知情並進，形成健康個性全面發展的教育目的。

二、 長期積累

「積累」可以說是任何學習所必需的，在英語學習中它顯得更為重要！For example ：我將英語中的「單詞、語法、句子、結構、閱讀、寫作、聽力、口語」等等一切比喻成不同的層，你每學一些相關的東西就會在相應的層上加一些東西，而你學的越扎實，同樣層與層之間就砸的越扎實。這樣當你有著一日在使用的時候，儲存在層中的知識就會像水一樣被源源不斷的擠壓出來給你提供源源不竭的語言素材，你會感到好象有用不完的東西在不斷的向外湧出，這時我相信你的信心和成就感就會接踵而來了，而你的英語學習也漸入佳境了。
