一、手抄報的總體構思
如何使一張手抄報在有限的空間內，既容納一定的知識內容，版面設計又精彩美觀呢？這不單純是技巧問題，對編者來說，組稿、編輯、排版、插圖、書寫，這是一個全神貫注、腦手並用的創造過程，是他的文化修養、生活情趣、精神風貌和藝術修養的綜合體現。這對一個學生來說，無疑是發展個性才能的廣闊天地。
辦手抄報，從總體上考慮，首先要確立主題思想。一期手抄報，版面很有限，要辦出特色，必須在內容上突出一個主題，做到主題突出，又豐富多彩。版面編排和美化設計，也要圍繞著主題，根據主題和文章內容決定形式的嚴肅與活潑，做到形式與內容的統一。
二、手抄報的編排設計
手抄報的編排設計，總的要求是：主題明確，版面新穎美觀。
1.版面劃分
先把版面劃分成兩塊，每塊中還可以再分成片。劃分文章塊面時，要有橫有豎，有大有小，有變化和有對稱的美。報頭要放在顯著位置。
2.塊面編排
如不符合原先的劃分，就要將版面塊面安排作必要的調整；如不能安排下文章，就利用移引、轉版的形式等，並用字型大小、顏色、花邊與鄰近的文章塊面相區別。
3.裝飾設計
除報頭按內容設計、繪制外，每篇文章的標題也要作總體考慮，按文章主次確定每篇文章標題的字體、字型大小、顏色及橫、豎排位置。文章內容以橫排為主，行距大於字距，篇與篇之間適應用些題花、插圖、花邊及尾花等穿插其中，起裝飾、活潑片面的作用。
三、手抄報的書寫
1.標題的書寫
主要或重要的文章標題，應用較醒目、莊重的字樣；文娛消息或次要文章，則可用輕松活潑的字體。同一期或同一版上的各篇文章標題，也應用不同的字體書寫。標題字體應比文章內容字體大，色彩也應加重。標題多用美術字，以楷書、行書、魏書、隸書見多。
2.正文的書寫
字體要清楚、美觀大方，字行間要整齊，字體不宜太小，忌潦草、錯字。
四、手抄報的裝飾美化
主要是用色彩、繪圖等藝術手段，彌補文字的單調，給人以生動形象、優美和諧的美感和啟迪。內容包括報頭、題花、插圖、花邊、尾花和色彩運用等

CHANG'E FLIES TO THE MOON

Learning incessantly is the surest way to keep pace with the times in the information age, and an infallible warrant of success in times of uncertainty.
Once learning stops, vegetation sets in. It is a common fallacy to regard school as the only workshop for the acquisition of knowledge. On the contrary, learning should be a never-ending process, from the cradle to the grave. With the world ever changing so fast, the cease from learning for just a few days will make a person lag behind. What's worse, the animalistic instinct dormant deep in our subconsciousness will come to life, weakening our will to pursue our noble ideal, sapping our determination to sweep away obstacles to our success and strangling our desire for the refinement of our character. Jogging several rounds in the field certainly relieves the day's pressure. On weekends, I'll catch the morning movie for my visual enjoyment. I feel revived and energetic for another week's work-load.

7．Fox and cock【狐狸和公雞】
One morning a fox saw a cock.He thought,"This is my breakfast.'' He came up to the cock and said,"I know you can sing very well.Can you sing for me?''
The cock was glad.He closes his eyes and began to sing.The fox saw that and caught him in his mouth and carried him away.
The people in the field saw the fox.They cried,"Look,look!The fox is carrying the cock away.''
The cock said to the fox,"Mr Fox,do you understand?The people say you are carrying their cock away.Tell them it is yours.Not theirs.''
The fox opened his mouth and said,"The cock is mine,not yours.''Just then the cock ran away from the fox and fled into the tree.

8．The City Mouse and the Country Mouse【城裡老鼠和鄉下老鼠】 Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mouse lived in the country; the other mouse lived in the city. After many years the Country mouse saw the City mouse; he said, "Do come and see me at my house in the country." So the City mouse went. The City mouse said, "This food is not good, and your house is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. You would have nice food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city." The Country mouse went to the house of the City mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was set ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they heard a great noise. The City mouse cried, " Run! Run! The cat is coming!" They ran away quickly and hid. After some time they came out. When they came out, the Country mouse said, "I do not like living in the city. I like living in my hole in the field. For it is nicer to be poor and happy, than to be rich and afraid."

過了一會兒，他們出來了。當他們出來時，鄉下老鼠說：「我不喜歡住在城裡，我喜歡住在田野我的洞里。因為這樣雖然貧窮但是快樂自在，比起雖然富有卻要過著提心吊膽的生活來說，要好些。」
