The House of 1000 Mirrors
千鏡之屋

Long ago in a small, faraway village, there was a place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors. A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he hounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and firendly. As he left the House, he thought to himself, "This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often."

In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door. When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again."
All the faces in the world are mirrors. What kind of reflections do you see in the faces of the people you meet?

Sam had a dog.Its name was Tod.It was very helpful,but it ate too much..So he didn't like it.He wanted to kill Tod. He tied Tod in a bag and put it in the small boat.He rowed the boat to the middle of a big river. Just as he threw the poor animal into the river,the boat began to sink. Both began Sam and Tod fell into the river.
Tod was able to swim,but Sam couldn't.The dog bit the rope and broke it. It tried its best to swim to save Sam. The man was saved,so he was very thankful to the dog .He didn't want to kill the dog any more .From then on, he gave the dog as much food as it wanted.

薩姆有一隻狗。他的名字叫Tod。它很有用，但是它食量很大。所以薩姆不喜歡他。薩姆想殺Tod。薩姆把Tod綁在一個袋子里，把它帶上船。他把船劃到一條大河的中央。就在他把這可憐的動物扔下河的時候，船開始下沉，薩姆和Tod都掉進河裡面了。
Tod會游泳，但是薩姆不會。狗把繩子咬斷。它經過試驗這是游泳去救薩姆就好的方法。薩姆獲救了，所以薩姆很感激Tod。他一點也不想殺它了。從那以後，小狗想要多少糧食薩姆給多少。

Mr. Wang thinks he is clever, but he always does foolish things.
One day he sees a beautiful bell at the top of a door. 「Oh! How nice! I will take it home.」 He thinks, 「What can I do?」 After a while he has a 「good」 idea. 「Aha! I have an idea now. I can plug my ears. Then I will not hear the ring when I take off the bell.」

Then he does so. But as soon as he takes off the bell, the owner opens the door. 「What ate you doing?」 the owner says angrily.

The little John taught his parrot to speak "follow me to say that I can walk."

"I can walk." said the parrot following.

"I can speak."

"I can speak." The parrot simulated as almost the same as he did.

"I can fly." "You talk big." The parrot said without thinking for a while.

A little girl is sitting on her grandpa』s lap and studying the wrinkles on his old face. She gets up the nerve to rub her fingers over the wrinkles. Then she touches her own face and looks more puzzled.
Finally the little girl asks, 「Grandpa, did God make you?」
「He sure did honey, a long time ago,」 replies her grandpa.
「Well, did God make me?」 asks the little girl.
「Yes, He did, and that wasn』t too long ago,」 answers her grandpa.
「Boy,」 says the little girl, 「He』s sure doing a lot better job these days, isn』t He?」

At school, Little Johnny was told by a classmate that most alts hide at least one dark secret and this makes it very easy to blackmail them merely by saying, "I know the whole truth."
So Little Johnny decides to try it out. When he arrives home from school that day, he says to his mother, "I know the whole truth." His mother looks shocked, quickly finds $20, and gives it to him, saying, "Just don't tell your father."
Quite pleased, Little Johnny waits for his father to get home from work, and greets him with, "I know the whole truth." His father looks shocked, quickly finds $40, and gives it to him, saying, "Just don't tell your mother."
The next morning, Little Johnny is on his way to school when he sees the mailman at his front door. The boy decides to try again. "I know the whole truth."
The mailman drops his mailbag, throws opens his arms, and says, "Then come give your real daddy a nice big hug!"
小強在學校聽一個同學說，大多數成年人都至少藏著一個不可告人的秘密，而且這讓他們很容易被敲詐，只要說句「整件事我都知道了」就行。
所以小強打算試一下。那天他從學校一回到家裡，就對媽媽說：「整件事我都知道了。」他媽嚇壞了，趕緊找出20塊錢給他，說：「千萬別告你爸啊。」

A lady went to a hat shop to buy a hat. As she was very fussy, it took her a long time to pick on one。
Already at the end of his patience the salesman was afraid that she might change her mind again so he tried to flatter her: "An excellent choice, madam.You look at least ten years younger with this hat on!"
To his dismay, the lady took off her hat at once and said: "I don't want a hat that makes me look ten years older as soon as I take it off. Show me some more hats!"
一位婦女到一家帽子店買帽子。她很挑剔，用了很長時間才選好了一頂。
已經忍耐到極限的售貨員害怕她再改變主意，便恭維她：「你做了極好的選擇，夫人。你戴上這頂帽子看上去起碼年輕十歲！」
但令他沮喪的是，這位女士馬上摘下了她的帽子說：「我不想要一頂摘下來便使我立刻顯得老十歲的帽子。多拿一些帽子給我看看！」
