考試時，最冤枉的事莫過於記住的知識想不起來，會做的題目束手無策，簡單的運算出現錯誤，這種現象在考生中並不鮮見。例如有一位考生這么說：「就學習時間而言，似乎已到了我的極限。我覺得平時學得還可以，大部分習題都能做對，但考試時卻不知怎麼搞的，該對的做不出來，不該錯的卻偏偏出錯，成績總是不理想，這使我緊張不安，甚至有點兒害怕考試。」出現這種現象的主要原因，在於考生沒有使自己處於最佳應試狀態，情緒過於緊張，無法充分集中注意力，不能調控自己的內部心理狀態和外部操作活動，從而影響自己真實水平的發揮。那麼如何將緊張程度調控到中等水平，維持最佳應試狀態呢？
