京劇是我們國家的戲劇。它形成於1790年後而且它已經有200年的歷史。它的音樂和唱法來自於安徽的西皮和湖北的二黃。它有四個主要的角色：生，旦，凈和丑。京劇充滿著許多著名的故事，漂亮的臉譜，絕妙的姿勢和打鬥。它是中國文化最重要的一部分。京劇過去在老人之間很流行，而（在過去）很多年輕人不是很喜歡它。然而，（現在）越來越多的年輕人甚至一些外國人，開始對京劇感興趣。

語言點
1. 系動詞後接形容詞構成系表結構的短語，常見的除be動詞外還有一些感官動詞，如：look (look excited 看起來很激動 ), sound (sound interesting 聽起來很有趣), smell (smell nice 聞起來很好 ), taste (taste delicious 嘗起來很可口), seem (seem disappointed 似乎很失望), feel (feel worried 感到很擔心 )等詞，翻譯成「……起來……」，還有一些變化動詞，如get ( get short 變短), turn ( turn green 變綠), become ( become weak 變得虛弱) 等詞，翻譯成「變……」
2. 英語里的感嘆句分為兩種，一種由「how」引導，主要強調形容詞，另一種由「what」引導，主要強調名詞（當所強調的名詞是可數名詞單數時要用「what a / an」引導）。感嘆句常會省略掉主語和謂語（在一定語境下，能理解意思的情況下常省略）。

3. hope （希望） 與wish（祝願） 的用法區別
wish 後可以接一個句子（I wish you have a good time.祝你玩得開心）；可以用作wish sb. to do sth.（希望某人做某事）（I wish you to be lucky. 祝你好運）；還可用作wish sb. sth. 或wish sb. +adj.
hope 的用法與 wish相近，只是不能用作hope sb. to do sth. 只可用作hope to do sth.試比較：
I hope you to be lucky （×）我希望你會有好運氣。
I hope to be lucky.（√）我希望會有好運氣。
4. 當make用作使讓動詞時的用法（後接動詞原形或形容詞）
make sb. do sth.讓某人做某事 It makes me feel happy.它讓我感到很開心。
make sb. + adj. 使某人…… It makes me happy. 它使我看心。
5. be afraid 的幾種用法
○1be afraid of sth. / doing sth. He is afraid of dark. 他怕黑。
