先給出結論：對從事外貿行業的業務人員來說，任何預先設定的英語課程用處都是極小極小的，小到可以忽略。所以，不要去不要去不要去。
那麼，應該怎麼做呢？
先舉個例子：
Excel是眾所周知的表格數據處理軟體，其功能非常強大，強大到95%以上的功能我們都沒聽說過，更沒用過。例如相對比較常見的「數據透視表」，相信80%以上的Excel用戶是沒用過的。而「宏」功能，更是99%的人都不會使用。在微軟提供的Excel認證課程中，這些功能都會講，也會考。
盡管80%的人不會用「數據透視表」、99%的人不會用「宏」，但大多數公司白領都會覺得Excel自己用的挺好的。每周每月出報表，天天都在用，沒什麼了不起的嘛。
英語也是一樣。它是一種和其他地區和文化的人交流的工具。英語包含的內容極多，多到95%以上的單詞和片語我們都沒聽說過，更沒用過。例如相對比較常見的「wind」，相信80%以上的學英語的人不知道它的一個意思是「纏繞」。而「tartare」（韃靼的），更是99%的人都不認識。
盡管如此，但大多數英語使用者都會覺得自己應用用的挺好的，每周每月都在寫報告，天天都在用，沒什麼了不起的嘛。
對不起，我覺得英語「應該」給大家這樣的印象。但現實生活中，英語給大家的印象是好難好難好難啊，英語單詞好多好多好多啊，英語語法好復雜好復雜好復雜啊。
為什麼同樣作為工具，我們覺得Excel很簡單，而覺得英語很難呢？
其實，這是當代英語教學理念造成的。
在當代英語教學理念中，我們認為英語學習是一個系統學習的過程。初級學習者應該以日常生活為背景，學習相關詞彙和表達方式（以初中和高中英語為代表）。中級學習者應該以大學學習和生活為主，學習對應的詞彙（以四級、六級英語為代表，或托福GRE為代表）。高級學習者是英語專業人士，則要學習和研究英國文化、歷史，會涉及大量文學、歷史詞彙（如很多古英語詞彙）。
我們看到，這個教育理念的最終目的是培養英語文化、歷史的學習和研究者，而初中、高中和普通大學的英語課程則是培養過程的一個個中間步驟。如果用Excel為例，這個教育理念就是微軟Excel認證的理念，其目的是盡可能多的展示Excel的各項功能，讓學習者全面了解。至於日常工作中用不用的上，這不是他的目的。
英語教育理念之所以是這樣的，其主要原因是這個理念是研究英語文化和歷史的純英語專業學者們提出來的。他們不了解英語在其他學科作為工具的性質，或者不願意承認工具的性質，而更願意給自己的英語專業賦予更加高大上的意義。
而實際上，對於絕大多數人來說，英語不過是一個溝通交流的工具。我做外貿生意，難道要了解莎士比亞？難道要知道英國人怎麼吃飯上廁所？難道要知道英國人怎麼看病？都不需要。我只需要學習和外貿生意相關的英語。這些相關的英語句子加起來不過幾十句上百句，如果每天都說，就變成套話了，很快就掌握了。就像Excel一樣，和日常辦公相關的功能就那麼十幾個，每天都用，很快就掌握了。
我當年准備去英國工作前，要強化英語。去報了一個班，老師讓我做新概念英語練習。我覺得這完全是在浪費我的寶貴時間。我是去工作的，我要學習和我工作相關的英語，新概念英語和我將來要用的東西完全不相關啊。我找老師協商（我是VIP客戶啊，所以可以商量的）。老師說這是給你打基礎。我說我不需要這個基礎，我就想知道我將來在工作中要說的句子用英語怎麼說。老師說那不行，你要了解英國的文化、歷史、日常生活等方方面面的知識，打的基礎越扎實，將來的英語水平越高。我說我是去工作的，怎麼看戲怎麼環球旅行對我有什麼用？我用不上。我會用英語數數，知道買東西怎麼付錢就夠了，就可以應付日常生活了。這不需要很高的英語水平。我來學習，就是想學習我將來工作中要說的句子用英語怎麼說。老師見無法說服我，就又找來另外兩個老師，三個人一起和我聊打基礎很重要。但我堅持你們說的英語水平對我來說沒有意義。我又不想去研究英國！我就是去工作的，要學習怎麼應付工作場景的。

但要將英語當成工具，我要說什麼我就學什麼，我不說的就不學，英語就很簡單。比如我不去上大學，我學習那麼多大學生如何選課、如何住宿的內容有什麼用呢？關鍵是找到一個能按照這種方法教你的人。從我的經驗看，貌似純英語專業的英語老師肯定幹不了這活兒。這些外貿的句子他們用漢語能不能說明白都不一定，用英語說就更不可能了。
我給你的建議是：1，先找一個外貿專業的中國留學生，把你要說的外貿相關的句子寫下來，讓他幫你翻譯一下。2，在和老外接觸的過程中，說這些句子，然後問老外這么說對不對。老外一般都會很高興你願意學習他們的母語（這和中國人看見會說漢語的外國人會有自豪感是一樣的），並教你正確的用法（留學生翻譯的不一定夠標准，畢竟只是學生）。3，經過一段時間（比如和老外接觸了十幾次或幾十次），你的外貿英語就會相當標准了。這時你的英語水平在英語老師眼裡可能還是很水，但你可以很自信的鄙視那些英語老師了：你行你來試試啊：）

隨著新課程改革的逐步發展，小學課堂發生了很大的變化。如今，大部分老師都遵循這樣的教學理念，以學生為主體，進行小組合作，參與討論以及匯報，對小組的匯報加以補充或是提出建議，把課堂交還給學生，讓學生成為學習的主人。當然，英語教師也不例外，他們能夠設計豐富多彩的教學活動，諸如說唱歌謠、做游戲、角色扮演，改編對話及表演，還有直觀教具演示等。但與此同時，教師在英語教學活動中，閱讀教學並沒有發揮其應當具有的作用。在我從教這幾年來，我覺得大部分教師對學生英語閱讀能力的培養不夠重視，包括我自己也會出現此類情況，這樣會很容易導致提前出現兩極分化的現象。優秀的學生不用老師在課堂上多講，他們只要自己做好前置學習就能解決很多問題。但學困生呢？他們前置學習不會去做，甚至於課堂上也不用心聽講，他們有些同學還會表現在課堂上昏昏欲睡，興趣不高，總是呈現一種似懂非懂的狀態。這樣，他們的閱讀能力就很貧乏了，更別說擴大閱讀量，提高閱讀能力了。雖然說在小學五、六年級閱讀課佔了一定比例，但是如何更好地進行小學英語閱讀教學呢？我覺得這對我們一線教師來說都是一項挑戰。下面我就結合自己的實際教學來談談。
在小學英語教學中，我們首先要知道什麼是屬於閱讀材料，也就是閱讀的板塊。就拿PEP教材來說，五，六年級課本中的（Read and write, Let's read，Story time）都是屬於閱讀板塊。像前面幾個板塊，如：Let's learn、Let's find out、Let's try、Let's talk等的作用是學習新詞和新語句，練習新詞和新句。如果我們把這些稱作單項練習的話，那麼Read and write，Let's read，Story time這些板塊就是綜合練習了，把在前面幾個板塊中學到的新詞和新語句，放在一個情景里，通過一小篇閱讀文章，再一次呈現給學生，再一次讓學生體會和感知新語言的使用場景，這一板塊起著復習鞏固的作用。而且這一板塊不僅有情景，絕大部分的語言還是學生學習過的，即便有一些新的語言出現，這些新的語言都是場景對話時所必需要的，所以這些新語言不太會影響學生的理解，另外這一板塊還有相應的練習，幫助學生理解閱讀材料和發展相應的技能。如：B5 Unit1 Part B：Describe Jim's new math teacher. 在進行小學英語閱讀教學時，我們大致可以把學生閱讀材料的過程劃分為pre-reading（閱讀前）, while-reading（閱讀中）和after-reading（閱讀後）三部分。上個月，我和同事前往深圳進行名思教研的學習，那些老師大部分進行閱讀教學時，他們也是採取讀前，讀中，讀後活動的設計，而且效果也是非常不錯的，學生們都樂於接受，也易於接受，並且對本節課的學習都掌握得不錯，對本次的閱讀內容大部分都能熟練地復述，甚至進行改編和表演，學生們興致也大大地提高了。自然而然，這樣的話老師的教與學生的學就會進行得很順利，甚至可以達到事半功倍的效果。所以，每次進行閱讀教學時，我通常都會布置學生進行前置學習，也就是我們平時所說的課前預習，那麼這也就是我們要進行的閱讀前（pre-reading）活動了。接著在課上會有設計閱讀中（while-reading）的問題等，最後完成閱讀後（after-reading）的內容。就拿我去年所教的六年級上冊PEP7 Unit 6 The Story of Rain這一課的閱讀教學來說，我是這樣設計的：1、閱讀前（pre-reading）1)學生在課前准備有關於水循環的相關知識。教師呈現小水滴與風交談的教學掛圖或課件，運用設疑法（提出幾個與閱讀材料相聯系的問題：水是從哪裡來的？你知道水循環的路線圖嗎？）讓學生愉快地走入文章之中，激發起學生的閱讀興趣。2) 能夠通過查字典或聯繫上下文猜測生詞的意思。進入閱讀的提高階段學習，教師應該讓學生明白閱讀文章時很少有不遇到生詞的情況，要努力培養學生遇到生詞不驚慌的學習態度，並能通過各種積極的方式解決。聯繫上下文猜測，再通過查字典確認是很好的一種方法。學生很快地找出生詞並進行了猜測，再進行驗證後，猜對的同學十分興奮。這樣做很好地培養了學生聯繫上下文理解單詞能力，更有利於學生從整體來把握篇章的意思，從而提高閱讀能力。2、閱讀中（while-reading）閱讀過程是得到樂趣獲取所需信息的過程，有略讀、精讀和查讀（帶著問題讀）等方法。在閱讀中我提倡綜合運用以上幾種閱讀方法。第一遍：略讀。 讓學生找出文章中的關鍵詞，確定段落主題句。第二遍：查讀。我設計了如下問題：Who did the little water drop meet? Where did the clouds come from? Where did the river come from? 在設計問題時最好能讓問題貫穿文章，這樣學生帶著問題尋找答案的同時也閱讀完了整個閱讀材料。第三遍：精讀。在這次閱讀中讓學生仔細認真慢速度閱讀，並用英語畫出小水滴的旅行路線，總結水循環的路線圖。小組交流，教師評價。角色表演，讓學生分角色表演閱讀材料，使學生進一步深刻理解文章的內涵，感受全文。3、讀後（after-reading）課堂上讓學生深入理解了閱讀材料後，如果教師讓學生在課後及時補充與閱讀材料相聯系的學習內容，那麼學生對於閱讀材料的理解將更進一步，同時在完成相關學習內容的學習的過程中很自然地又鞏固了閱讀材料中需要掌握的詞彙和句型，這種形式將是一種很好的閱讀課的及時延伸，我們兩個班中的很多同學都能比較順利地完成了這項閱讀學習任務。
另外，無論是在詞彙的課堂，音標的課堂，還是在閱讀教學的課堂上我會盡量用英語組織教學，這樣可以烘托英語課堂氣氛，增強學生的求知慾，提高學生的聽說能力。在課前我一般也會進行每日英語（Everyday English），我覺得這一環節自從開展以來，學生們都很感興趣，競爭意識也很強，總想為自己所在的小組加上一分。我認為這一環節非常重要，既是學生練習聽力的良好機會，也是學生學習與模仿的途徑之一，更是他們訓練口語，積累詞句，甚至是用英語交流最好的途徑了。還有進行閱讀教學時預習指導要到位。在教學前，我要求學生做好課前預習，一方面可以讓學生藉助詞典、單詞表或有關資料，能對文章內容有大概的了解，把不懂的字詞句讓學生在預習時劃出來，留到小組討論時或是在課堂上提出來解決。這樣我們可以把這一課前預習，作為提高閱讀課教學效率的第一步，不無原因，課標中明確要求學生要有一定的預習能力，且學生預習效果的好壞直接影響課堂教學的效率。堅持要求學生課前預習不但可以提高他們的預習能力，而且可以提高他們的聽課效率。
再者，要做到激發學生的閱讀興趣也是非常重要的，雖然我沒辦法做到讓全部學生都喜歡上我的課，但我會盡自己的最大能力去讓他們喜歡上英語，喜歡說英語。這樣也就需要我們老師根據不同類型和不同內容的課設計不同的導入手段，以此來激發學生的興趣。比如：設置情景，提出問題，讓學生帶著目的去讀，或是讓他們談論有關的話題。我在這學期教學五年級下冊Unit6 A Field Trip Part B的 Read and write時，當中有一句是：It's time to go. 在此我設計了這樣一個問題：我們在什麼時候或是什麼場合會用到這一句子呢？有些學生想都沒多想，馬上反應出是：have a picnic, climb mountains...，有些學生受到其他同學的啟發，想了想也很踴躍地舉手發言：travel, go hiking...。這樣不僅能使學生處於積極的准備狀態，帶著目的和願望去學和讀，變被動式閱讀為主動式閱讀，而且有助於學生形成閱讀技巧，提高理解能力。
我認為要想上好英語閱讀課不是一時就能做好的，而是要靠平時一點一滴的積累，一方面是老師的積累，另一方面是學生的積累。由此可見，我們必須要了解什麼是閱讀材料，更好地設計閱讀材料，做好課前預習，更要重視學生，激發學生的閱讀興趣，這樣才更有助於提高我們小學英語閱讀教學的質量與水平。另外，我們在平時的閱讀教學中還要不斷改善以及完善教學方法，以便更好地指導和激勵我們的學生進行英語閱讀學習，為今後的英語學習打下良好的基礎。
