1.通讀全文，掌握大意
做閱讀理解題一定要先
快速閱讀
全文，從整體上理解短文的回大意和中心思答想，領會出題人的出題意圖。不要斷章取義，看一句或幾句就做一個題目，這樣很容易影響答題的正確率。對於一些長句和難句要作
語法分析
，以便掌握短文的大意和每個句子的確切含義。一篇短文的開頭和結尾一般是對全文內容的概括，大家可以先看一下。
2.根據內容，推測詞意
閱讀時會遇到生詞，要先
跳過去
，然後繼續通讀全文，不要長時間摳詞意，影響了對全文大意的理解。遇到生詞也不要急躁，只要知道這詞是人名、地名或是什麼詞性就行了。雖然有些生詞
我們不認識
，但是還是能通過全文推測出詞的意思。
3.細審題意，獲取信息

他裝出一板在花園裡面對馬路。董事會說,「禁止停車」。但沒人注意到它。人們似乎只服從了警方的通知在藍色與白色字母板:

布朗太太問他是否會偷了警方的通知,但是他害怕這樣做。然後她問他,能使人覺得像一個警察通知。布朗先生說他並不是警察,不使用「警察」。幾天以後,布朗先生做了一個藍板與白的牌子。

PS：這篇文章結局的確是沒怎麼說明白，但我估計，Mr.Brown 後來用的是「private」（私人的），這個詞和「police」有點像。人們沒怎麼看清就誤以為是「police」，而且又不犯法，這本就是個「private」私人通知。
