当晚18时30分，讲座正式在武汉轻工大学文官楼118教室开讲。为了能近距离一睹新东方名师风采，讲座开始前半小时，教室就已坐满了慕名而来的轻工大学的同学们。
首先开讲的是我们幽默可爱的外教Nick，他率先向大家介绍了一些简单的肢体语言在国内外所表达的不同含义，以此瞬间调动了学生的热情。他与学生之间的互动环节让不仅让现场的学生们捧腹大笑，还让大家深刻理解到了学习英语口语的重要性。除此之外，他还在现场安排了游戏环节，以这样的方式让现场的同学们迅速融入到一个快乐学习英语口语的环境，认真的去体会和感受到学习英语口语其实是一件很有趣的事情。
接下来是帅气的谢德斌老师为学生详细讲解怎样提高英语口语，他在讲解练习英语口语的每个误区时都会在里面穿插一个幽默的小故事，有趣的故事内容让学生更容易理解，更轻易地学会避免养成坏习惯。现场，他还结合自己的经验向同学们传授了如何去学习外国人表达的思维方式，并以一段简单地对话就让所有学生折服，将讲座推向高潮。
在短暂中场休息后，宋逸轩老师走上讲台为同学们详细讲解了四六级改革的考点和考试难点。她从阅读的速度，短文中从句的理解，以及在短文中寻找答案的方法等方面入手，结合历年考题中长短句的理解和词汇含义的讲解，为同学们总结出了一套提高阅读的练习的方式和方法。讲座中，宋逸轩老师针对中国考生普遍写作模板化的问题，提出了提高写作得分的方法。现场学子们纷纷表示，宋老师对写作和听力方法的解析及建议，让他们受益匪浅。

整场讲座，现场气氛十分活跃，讲师们以风趣幽默，生动形象的实例讲解激发了现场同学们的热情，并认真记下现场老师们所讲的一些重要信息。

晚20时30分，讲座结束，但应现场同学们的强烈要求，老师们继续为大家解答了一些关于英语学习、提高及培养兴趣等方面的问题。最后，在同学们的依依不舍中讲座渐渐落下帷幕。
