As we all know, different countries have defferent culture. “Culture is the collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the members of one category of people from another.”
It is inevitable that the cultural difference has impact on business. For example, when a company is having meeting, the word “table” they mention in American English means to put something on the agenda, but in British English it means to pu something off the agenda. This example indicated how the culture affects the business.
There are four cultural dimensions that were defined in Hofstede’ research :power distance, uncertainty avoidance, indivialism and masculinity.
The most significant influence in cultural difference is the power distance.“It would condition the extent to which employees accept that their boss has more power that have and the extent to which they accept that their boss’s opinions and decisions are right because he or she is the boss.”Among most oriental corporate cultures, there is hierachism reasons, great centralization, sometimes called ‘power-oriented culture’,e to the historical reasons. That is a high power distance culture that mangers make the decision and superious appeal to be entitled more privileges.Their decision always close supervision positively evaluated by subordinates. In this situation, it is not be regarded if subordinates have a disagreement with their managers.
Diet Culture difference between China and America.(中美饮食文化的差异)这篇可以参考:)~
The main difference between Chinese and America eating habits is that unlike, where everyone has their own plate of food, in China the dishes are placed on the table and everybody shares. If you are being treated by a Chinese host, be prepared for a ton of food. Chinese are very proud of their culture of food and will do their best to give you a taste of many different types of cuisine. Among friends, they will just order enough for the people there. If they are taking somebody out for dinner and the relationship is polite to semi-polite, then they will usually order one more dish than the number of guests (e.g. four people, five dishes). If it is a business dinner or a very formal occasion, there is likely to be a huge amount of food that will be impossible to finish.
A typical meal starts with some cold dishes, like boiled peanuts and smashed cucumber with garlic. These are followed by the main courses, hot meat and vegetable dishes. Finally soup is brought out, which is followed by the starchy "staple" food, which is usually rice or noodles or sometimes mplings. Many Chinese eat rice (or noodles or whatever) last, but if you like to have your rice together with other dishes, you should say so early on.
Expressing gratitude
Think of the situations below. Your mother is busy in the kitchen. She suddenly asks you to fetch a bowl for her. You do so. What’ll your mother’s response be? Probably she’ll just continue doing the cooking. After a while, the dinner is ready. Your mother hands you your bowl of rice. What’s your response? Probably just begin to eat.
That’s what I want to say. In Chinese families, we rarely say “Thank you” to other family members for receiving help or service. Neither will we say so between good friends. It’s such an unpopular response that if you say it, the counterpart will think you are treating him as a stranger, otherwise you are lacking of intimacy.
But in the West, "thank you" is one of the most frequently used sentences. Teachers will thank a student for answering a question; husbands will thank his wife for making a coffee.
However, as an interesting phenomenon, it’s a custom to say "thank you" in Japan. No matter in family or among friends, Japanese chronically use it all the day. This is probably the aberrance of the culture.

Egypt
Pyramids and pharaohs, mummies and magic, picture writing on papyrus—ancient Egypt had all this, and much more. Rich, powerful, and peace-loving, this North African kingdom was home to a splendid civilization that lasted 3,000 years, from about 3300 bc to 30 bc.
RED LAND, BLACK LAND
Ancient Egypt was a vast territory, stretching 700 miles (1,100 kilometers) southward from the Mediterranean Sea. Most of it was hot, dry, and sty. The Egyptians called it Deshret (red land). But the world’ longest river, the Nile, runs through this desert. Every year, the river flooded the surrounding land. The floods left sticky, smelly mud covering the land along the riverbanks. Egyptians called the riverside area Kemet (black land). This land was very fertile. About 5000 bc, the ancient Egyptians built some of the world’s first farms and villages there.
THE GIFT OF THE NILE
Egypt was sometimes called “the gift of the Nile.” All Egyptian life depended on the river. Farmers g ditches to bring its water to fields of wheat, grapes, and onions. Rich nobles, town traders, and poor country families all built homes made of sun-dried river mud. Craftspeople shaped clay from the Nile into pottery, and wove cloth from the flax plant that grew on its banks. Families caught fish and river birds for food. Children played in riverside pools, but they had to watch out for killer crocodiles!

Perfume derives initially from countries with an ancient civilization such as Egypt ,India ,Rome ,Greece and Persia.Eastward Expedition of the Crusades has brought splendid oriental culture for Europe in the 11th centuries ,and perfume, the delighting article of luxury, were increasingly accepted and been fond of by European .
The French perfume handicraft falls behind very much until the 16th century.Perfume sigmatism has not formed. And what's more,French refused to take a bath at that time ,even average homes did not have bath equipment at all.

As globolization is an inevitable trend, the cultural exchanges between countries and areas are becoming more frequent all over the world these days. In my opinion, these communications have their own advantages as well as disadvantages.
It is undeniable that the culture exchanges bring quite a few benefits. It opens a window for people in different areas to know others' customs, technologies and civilization. As a result, misunderstanding between races is reced and therefore harmony blooms. During the process, a great deal of profit which is a considerable contribution to the global economy is created. Various activities and celebrations are held and attract people from all parts of the world, which provides, for instance, the airline companies uncountable opportunities.
Unavoidably, the cultural exchanges have some negative effects.
Its impacts on the culture of a country is sometimes out of the ability for the country to support it. The local culture may partially disappear and turn to be less diverse. As the diversity diminishes, the monotonous world will be presented to the public.
A heavy burden for the reservation of the worldwide culture then come into being.
However, we cannot prevent this from happening. All we can do is to seek a balance point. The ecation at this stage is extremely important and effective. Once the spirit of patriotism is cultivated, it will be borne in mind to preserve local culture heritages.

Today people in the UK eat a more varied diet than ever before. As well as the regional diets of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland the many immigrant communities have introced their cuisines to the previously unadventurous Britons: Chinese, Greek, Indian, Italian, Thai, American fast foods such as pizza, hamburgers and fried chicken have to some extent displaced the traditional fast food of fish and chips.
