英语学科专业阅读著作

Ⅰ 大一英语专业生读哪些名著对提高阅读和扩充词汇量有很大帮助，可以介绍几个吗，最好励志点的！

刚开始可以读 Robinson Crusoe (鲁宾逊漂流记)是文学课规定要读的，语言以陈述为主，情节简单。海明威《The Old Man and The Sea》，觉得自己词汇量还行的接着读 《格列佛游记》。只需要读完《小人国》《大人国》两部分就OK。斯威夫特写的句子比较复杂一点，词汇会用上一些NB哄哄的大词，方便你增加词汇。

往后可以尝试《哈利波特》系列，或者其他畅销童话或者儿童文学，如王尔德的《快乐王子》。

再接下来可以读《喜福会》、《江城》这种外国人讲中国人故事的。

等你不拘泥于查字典，专心读情节的时候可以试着读畅销小说，如《暮光之城》、《我是传奇》、《少年派》。。。。侦探小说，如阿加莎克里斯蒂的小说《And Then There Were None》（荒岛十命），你会被情节吸引。

再接下来读你们文学课布置的任务，《傲慢与偏见》、《简爱》、《呼啸山庄》、《瓦尔登湖》、《白鲸》不过由于都是些老掉牙的书你很难开心的读下去。但是依个人口味不同也有精品，如我们老师当时推荐了一本英国武打小说：《Ivanhoe》，讲的英国中世纪的骑士传奇。我个人能比较喜欢Jack London的《热爱生命》，读起来像看克里斯托弗·诺兰电影一样人物内心激荡起伏，Washington Irving的 《Rip Van Winkle》、《The legend of the Sleepy Hollow》都是中短篇小说，这个人的文笔很好，你可以见识一下他写出来的句子有多么优美。

其实读英文小说，首先不是为了学英文去读的。阅读的目的就是获取信息，读小说就是为了乐趣，而在这个过程中顺便积累一些词汇和语法知识，就像《三傻大闹宝莱坞》里面的经典名言：Pursue excellence, then sucess will follow you pants off. 对于英文阅读，这句话可以改成：Enjoy Reading. Language skill and knowleage will follow you pants off.

1. 《Pride and Prejudice》
傲慢与偏见，简•奥斯丁的经典小说，情节很简单。由于奥斯丁本人并不是学究级作家，因此其语言通俗、通顺、流畅、易懂。很适合英文初学者以学习目的阅读。

2. 《A Tale of Two Cities》
尽管摆脱不了古典小说的大段说教，也无法避免英伦式的亲密又略显疏离的对话，没有现代小说繁杂的叙事手法，小说仍旧靠单纯讲故事取胜。 恩怨情仇，故事很简单。也是原著阅读的上佳之选。

3. 《The Catcher in the Rye》
《麦田里的守望者》是美国现代文学特别是小说的绝对代表作品之一，读此书的原著，不仅可以学习作者高超娴熟的文学技巧、精细入微的心理描写和人物刻画，更能身临其境的体会到60年代美国青少年一代的人格世界。

4. 《Jane Eyre》
夏洛蒂•勃朗特的《简爱》，有意味深长的故事和圆满的结局。这部在国内知名度极高的小说，其原著也是十分值得细细品读的。

5. 《Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone》
作为儿童读物，哈利波特的整个系列都十分适合英文初学者阅读。JK罗琳的语言精简流畅，没有繁杂的叙述和心理活动描写，非常便于理解。唯一的障碍可能是作为原著的生僻词汇（主要跟魔法/奇幻相关）略多。不过看过前几本以后很快就能烂熟于心。

6. 《Peter Pan》 豆瓣评分:9
《彼得•潘》是一部在西方家喻户晓的童话作品，文字清晰流畅、易于理解，同时文学性也很强。

7. 《Sherlock Holmes》
柯南道尔的《福尔摩斯》，不仅是出色侦探悬疑小说，也是一部文字优美的文学作品。由于具有很强的故事性，更加吸引人去仔细品读。文字生动不晦涩、语言干练、词汇不生僻，也很适合作为原著读物。

8. 《Steve Jobs》
由著名传记作家Walter Isaacson操刀的《乔布斯传》，作为当代的畅销书，其在遣词造句方面非常注重表意的流畅与生动，而不同于很多其它晦涩的名人传记作品。

中国出版的没用，美国英国等的才行

二、英语专业学生读英语名著的注意事项：
1、可以使用该名著的汉译本做名著的辅助读物，但不可以进行英汉对照式的阅读。
读英语版本时不要看汉语的，读汉语时就不要看英语的。可以先读一遍汉语版然后再读一遍英语版，或者反过来。
（2）可以使用词典，但不可以逢词必查。
没有词典的帮助阅读则显得非常的困难，但读名著是为了读名著的意思。只有把心思用在意义的解读上时，才能摆脱词汇量的束缚，只有在抛开了积累词汇学习英语等基本想法之后，才能够做到词汇的高度积累，语法体系的高度完善，英语水平的高度发展。
（3）可以浅尝则止，但不可以半途而废。
一旦开始了英语名著的阅读，就不要轻言放弃，哪怕是整部书读得一点儿也不理想。阅读就是这样，在感到没收获的时候，其实许多知识都潜移默化地进入了脑海。
