这些内容最适合的是看最初的原始材料，很多改写的版本都有些大杂烩，而且可能有部分内容会删减。但是有些时候原始材料可能比较枯燥，不知道LZ兴趣如何，能否读下去。

北欧的斯堪的纳维亚神话体系，主要构建于中世纪的英雄史诗，其中最著名的是艾达Edda和贝奥武甫Beowulf，还有关于勃艮第体系的神话尼伯龙根之歌Nibelungenlied，甚至包括古法语写成的《罗兰之歌》（chanson de Roland）等
古希腊的神话只要看两个人的作品足以。无论是知名度还是其广度和深度，就是Ἡσίοδος（英语应该是Hesios）的《神谱》 Θεογονία（英语应该是Theogony）和荷马Ὅμηρος（Homer）的的《伊利亚特》Ἰλιάς（Iliad）与《奥德赛》Ὀδύσσεια（Odyssey）
埃及只能看后人整理的了，因为自己没留下比较完备的神话体系方面的作品。法国人在埃及学上属于顶级水平（19世纪的卢浮宫馆长大师商博良就是埃及象形文字的破译者），可以看看他们的作品，不过大部分都是法语。看英文作品的话，后人整理的书籍我只看过Barnett, Mary. Gods and Myths of Ancient Egypt. London: Regency House, 1996。里面有彩色插图，但是这种书籍你懂得，精装价格很贵。我是以前在图书馆看的，买我是不乐意买的。

英文的书籍因为我的英语不是很给力，读的少，何况我更喜欢直接读古希腊语和拉丁语原文，因为翻译永远是信息的缺失。当然，毕竟读英语的还是好过阅读中文的，那个语言的隔阂更大。

希腊神话里，目前比较出色的，一个是德国人 古斯塔夫·施瓦布 写的，另一个是俄版国人 尼·库恩权 写的，因为都不是英文著作，所以买他们写的英文版没什么意义。至于双语的，我看了下基本没有名社出品的，你可以在亚马逊，京东找找，看看评价买一本。不过我觉得最好还是要买名社的，能保证错误率低一些，不然英文单词拼错了万一你没发现，那其实是误人子弟了。

希腊神话的众神却不同。他们有着人一样的情感，相比之下更接近人类。上至至高无上的宙斯，下至没有权力与世无争的小神，他们都被允许有人的情感，可以和其他的神甚至是凡人发生感情。据说，希腊许多著名的大英雄就是神的后裔，有着神的血统。
希腊神话中的众神们不但有人一样的情感，还会参与人类世界的纷争。著名的特洛伊战争，在荷马诗史中的描述就是神与神，神与人之间的战斗。神也一样会受伤，会流血，会伤心流泪。像人一样的真实，唯一和人类有区别的是，他们可以永保青春，有不死之身，这一点还是和中国神话的神仙们一样的。
唯一有一样我不大能理解的就是他们复杂的感情生活和婚姻关系。我明白中外的历史文化背景不同，但是，乱伦的事情还是全世界都一样吧。再开放的国家也不会允许父娶女，母嫁儿吧？听起来似乎有些荒谬。姐弟兄妹之间的通婚还是有先例的，古埃及的皇族不是为了血统纯正的问题实行过吗。
