如何掌握初中英语教学的说课
随着优化课堂教学的深入,"说课"已成为考核教师教学能力的重要方式和提高教师教学水平的重要途径,越来越受到普遍重视。
那么如何正确认识"说课",在我们的教学实践中"说课"究竟有什么作用,如何掌握初中英语中的"说课",却是许多教师特别是青年教师亟待了解的。
一、正确认识"说课":
说课,就是教师在总结自己教学实践经验的基础上,从教学理论的高度,依照教学大纲要求,结合教学内容、学生基本状况和现有教学条件等实际情况,对自己的备课思路、课堂教学设计进行系统、全面和具体的阐述。但是必须注意,说课不同于一般意义上的备课,说课并不是读教案。
说课的过程是教师对教学理论再学习并用于指导新的教学实践的过程,是教师对教学大纲进一步深化认识理解的过程,是教师将自己的教学经验条理化、升华到理性认识的过程。
在"说课"过程中,教师要明确本课的教学目的和要求,分析本课的重点和难点,分析教学主体的客观情况,要对如何安排教学内容、如何驾驭教学过程、如何掌握教学节奏以及自己所选择的教学方法、手段和预期效果加以论述和说明。
说课的效果,是教师综合教学能力和业务素质的体现。
二、"说课"的作用:
1、"说课"具有提高教学效率的作用。"说课"的过程,就是教师教学思维条理化过程,因而使教师做到备课、授课思路清楚,步骤清晰,重点突出,方法得当。
2、"说课"具有利于取得较好教学效果的作用。教师通过在"说课"过程中对教学思维的条理化和教学理论的运用,优化课堂教学设计,从而得到好的教学效果。
3、"说课"具有提高教师整体水平的作用。"说课"的过程是教师在正确教学理论指导下进行教学实践预演的过程,促使教学理论与教学实践紧密结合;"说课"的过程又是教师对实践经验进行总结的过程,因此又加速使实践经验上升为教学理论,加速完成由"怎样教"向"为什么这样教"的升华,促使教师的理论水平和业务素质得到很快提高。
4、"说课"是检验教师综合能力和业务素质的重要手段。通过"说课",可及时发现教师运用教育理论是否正确、采用教学方法是否得当、分析理解教材是否准确,从而判定该教师是否胜任所承担的教学工作。目前职称考核、选聘教学岗位、参加教学比赛,均将"说课"作为一个重要环节。
因此,"说课" 可用来指导和检验备课的科学性和时效性,可用于进行教师个人的教学经验总结,可用来作为考核教师教学水平和理论水平的手段。
三、正确进行"说课"
1、说课前的准备工作:
(1)首先要确定课题,一般有自选和指定两种。
自选课题,说课者可以有较充分的思想、内容、技术和方法准备。
指定课题,说课者没有足够的时间进行准备,但必须有充分的思想和心理准备。
(2)分析本课题的教学目的、要求和授课主体的基本情况,明确教学目标。
(3)确定本课题的焦点问题,一般为重点、难点。
(4)确定教学思路、方法、步骤。要尽量合理采用辅助设备进行准备,如挂图、实物教具、录音、录像、计算机课件等教学辅助手段。
(5)形成讲稿。把以上内容系统化、细化,形成说课教案。该教案应包括教学标、教材分析、处理方法和手段等主要教学思路和教学过程。特别要说明采用的教学方法和手段的理论依据及如何指导学生的学法。
2、说课的过程:
说课的过程应围绕六个重要环节进行,即
(1)准确说出授课内容在整个知识体系中的地位和作用,这要求教师在精通教材的基础上,深刻理解各项知识之间的内在联系。具体到英语教学,还必须明确所授单元、课时在教学大纲所列项目中的地位和作用,以及与前、后单元的内在联系,它所涉及的语言功能、语法知识、教学要求及在教学大纲中的归类等等。这反映了教师的知识水平和对教学大纲的认识、理解程度。
以Unit 23 Lesson 91 JEFC Book II为例:
本单元的教学内容是:
单词、词组项目要求掌握
① 17个四会单词、词组,
② 10个三会单词、词组,
③ 2个二会单词;
日常交际用语项目要求掌握
① 6个四会日常交际用语,
② 3个三会日常交际用语。
语法项目要求掌握:
①情态动词must,
② when,before,after等引导时间状语从句。
③ if条件句。
上述内容在大纲中的要求是:
①语法项目中,状语从句是要求掌握内容,
②交际用语项目中" must"是大纲第 22项"禁止和警告"中的一项,是四会内容,本课所涉及的语句是 You must wait for your turn.
状语从句是常用语法项目,在初中教学段中处于重要地位,在本单元出现,是学生实践一段后的归纳小结,是由感性认识向理性认识的升华。
情态动词在初中段也是常见语法项目,在本单元中,学生要通过对 must的学习、归纳和总结,加深对情态动词的了解。
因此 ,本单元的教学内容具有承前启后的作用。
(2)阐明本课的教学目标。
教学目标既是教师的授课目标,又是学生的学习目标,是所有教学活动的出发点和归宿。它的确定必须实事求是,既要符合教材要求,又要符合学生的学习实际,使教学双方在教学目标上统一起来,才可能达到预期教学效果。
教学目标应包括三个方面。
知识目标,即各语言点的认知要求。
能力目标,即学生在听、说、读、写诸方面运用所学基本知识和技能的能力。
情感目标,即德育目标,结合所学内容,落实思想教育、学科德育等方面的目标,同时还包括对学生端正学习目的、态度和人生观,培养学习毅力和科学思维等方面的内容。
确定的教学目标必须完整、具体、贴切。
仍以 Lesson 91为例。
本课的教学目标是:
①前面提到的教学要求;
②巩固 Lessons 89 -- 90两课所学的重点内容;
③训练学生的阅读技巧。
本课的能力目标是:
通过学习,准确使用"must"造句,学会独立阅读的方法,复述课文,能将短文改写成对话。
本课的情感目标是:
遵守公共道德,关心爱护老人、病人,不取笑别人。
在确定教学目标时要充分考虑学生的学习水平和认知能力,即使在同一年级、同一班级,学生也有差别,有的差别会很大。因此确定的教学目标要尽量符合大多数学生的实际。一般来讲,经过努力,使80%的学生能达到所确定的目标,该目标即为合理目标。
在教学实践中,有的教师仅注重知识目标的落实,往往忽略能力目标和情感目标的落实,这是对教育要求认识不全面的表现。现行英语教材包含的能力目标很宽泛,而其情感目标除特有的深度外,更具有很强的综合性和现实性。教师在备课中应深挖教材本身的能力和德育要求, 全面体现教育思想。
(3)阐述本课教学的重、难点。
现行教材每一课都有丰富的内容。教师必须严格按照大纲和教学指导用书规定范围,经过精心加工,抓住重点,突破难点,把教材转化为语言训练话题,使学生通过课堂操练,实践训练,内化为自己运用英语准确完成思想感情输入、输出功能的能力。因此,在说课中教师要做到:
①准确找出教材的重点、难点,并提出其确定依据;
②结合学生实际,分别列出需精讲、略讲、自学、操练的内容;
③根据由浅入深、由易到难的认知规律,安排好各部分内容的连接和教学顺序。
现仍以 Lesson 91课为例。
本课为阅读训练课 ,结合学生学习的特点 ,本课重点应放在培养学生阅读能力上。基于这一重点 ,要突破的难点就是语言知识和阅读技巧两方面。由此即可设计本课的教学内容和顺序了。
教师的教学活动主要是 :指导学生粗读、细读课文 , 在讲解部分词汇及用法的同时 ,就课文提问,使学生掌握课文大意。
学生的活动主要是在教师指导下掌握粗读、细读方法 ,学会分析课文大意,能找出关键词语,并能运用重点词组、句型造句,练习复述课文 ,在听、说、读、写诸方面都有所收获。
(4)阐明授课过程设计。
教学过程设计,是贴近教学实践的一个环节,应在确定了教学目标和教学内容的基础上进行。设计教学过程要做到内容安排合理 ,环节紧凑 ,方法得当 ,重点突出 ,难点准确 ,教学设计有新意 ,学科德育有渗透。
以 Lesson 91为例 ,本课的教学过程应是:
Step 1.Revision复习本单元前两课重点内容,操练"must"句型。
Step 2. 由上一步自然引入语句"You must wait for your turn "掌握此语句。
Step 3. 根据此句创设"if"情景,训练"if"从句。
Step 4. 开始阅读训练。先粗读,由教师介绍课文,(可通过录音、录像)提出问题,即课本中"Was a queue jumper really a queue jumper"然后由学生回答上述问题。
Step 5. 开始细读。要求在规定时间内完成阅读 ,回答练习册中的问题。
Step 6. 教师指出课文中的重点词组 ,举一反三 ,并训练学生造句。
Step 7. 学生朗读课文 ,进行复述课文的训练。
Step 8. 完成练习册。首先完成练习册中的听力训练。
Step 9. 布置作业 ,将短文改成对话。
必须指出 ,在日常教学中 ,大多数教师比较重视教材 ,较善于根据教材确定重点、难点 ,而对如何将学生的学习实际与教材相结合 ,如何突出运用语言的能力训练较少重视。因此说课时要特别注意提出训练方法。在此需要强调的是 ,训练运用语言的能力应是四会能力 ,而不仅仅是其中的某几个能力。虽然在每一课中四会能力有所偏重 ,但在总体上不能偏废任何一项。
(5)阐明授课时采取的教学方法和教学手段。
教学内容好比要由此岸(教师)渡河到达彼岸(学生)的渡客。渡河要有船,这船就是教学方法。没有好的教学方法,教学内容就不好被学生接受。因此,研究不同教学内容的教学方法,是教师的根本任务之一。科学的教学方法使教师聪明,也使学生聪明。
教学过程是师生的双向活动,尤其在语言训练中,创设适当的语言情景,是当前交际功能和意念相结合的教材要求的最基本的施教方法之一。在说课的过程中,必须介绍为达到素质教育目的而在课堂教学中针对不同教学内容所采用的不同方法及其依据。
在阐述教学方法时,要把握以下几点:
①紧密联系学生的学习生活实际,激发学生的学习兴趣,如在 Lesson.91中,可在复述课文时假设看病、排队等候等情景,由学生自己表演,提高学习兴趣。
②尽量合理采取各种直观手段,如录像、挂图、简笔画或计算机课件等辅助教学手段,也可以采用由学生模拟表演等形式。
③教师的语言要精练、准确、生动。
④在阐述教学方法时,一定要说明如何教给学生学法,比如在Lesson. 91中,要教会学生自己阅读课文的方法 (当然许多方法不是在一节课中就能完全掌握的,可以说明通过若干节这样的训练课,最终能使学生达到什麽能力)。
须强调的是,英语课的实践性很强,所确定的教学方法要和实践紧密相连,要与教学目标紧密相连,不能脱节。所以介绍方法时必须说明通过哪种训练使学生获得何种技能,具备什麽样的能力。
(6)阐明课堂反馈的方法和内容。
课堂教学效果如何 ,是否达到预期目标 ,是教学双方都非常关心的问题。而要检验教学效果 ,就必须进行教学反馈。因此 ,反馈是教学的重要环节 , 反馈的形式、方法、内容则是说课的重点之一。在说课中要把握以下三点:
①说明反馈的形式 :在英语教学中反馈的形式是多样的,学生表演对话、复述课文、书面表达、听写、笔试等均可作为反馈形式。确定反馈形式必须依课堂教学需要而定,以有利于获取信息,如Lesson 91中,可采取听写或复述课文的形式进行反馈。
②反馈的内容 : 反馈的内容必须是当堂教学内容中最主要、最重要的部分,是要求学生必须掌握的精髓。如在 Lesson 91中,反馈的内容应是课文中的关键词组、语句 ,对要求四会的内容必须落实。
安排反馈内容,还要考虑"巩固"和"提高"的层次问题。
③反馈的时间 :反馈的时机应视课堂教学需要而定,其时间一般以 5 -- 10分钟为宜。
以上是我从工作中体会到的说课的六个重要环节。但是由于每课的要求不一样,每位教师的教学经验、思路、方法有所区别,面对的学生也不尽相同,所以具体到每位教师,在说课时的侧重点和先后顺序上均可充分发挥自己的特长,做出具有不同风格的安排,体现出个人特色。
总而言之,"说课"就是教师在教学实践经验基础上,依照教学大纲要求、教材内容、学生基本状况和现有教学条件,从教学理论的高度,对自己的备课思路、课堂教学设计进行全面、综合、具体和有条理的阐述。要通quot;说课"明确本课的教学目的和要求,分析本课的重点和难点,分析教学主体的客观情况,并对如何安排教学内容、如何驾驭教学过程、如何掌握教学节奏、自己所选择的教学方法和手段以及预期效果加以具体的论述和说明。
