This often times causes problems on the road and traffic can pile up so that drivers are stuck in traffic for hours waiting to go to work, lunch, or home. Although some people feel that there are not many solutions to this problem, there is actually a simple and easily done solution hiding right beneath our noses: public transporation. Rather than have everyone jump in their own automobile in the morning and cause accidents and traffic jams, but utilizing public transportation, many people can share one vehicle so that the highways are not as crowded and so people can commute with considerable ease.

Hence they have nothing to do with air pollution and energy crisis. Finally, as China is still a developing country, most people can afford a bicycle rather than a car.
With so many advantages, bicycles will remain to be an important means of transport in China in the many years to come. But I think with the rapid development of Chinese economy, more and more Chinese will own a car though cars will never completely substitute bicycles in the future
