其实阅读只考两件事,一件事情是简单的:看到什么,定位什么,选择什么;而另外一个则是通过定位确定这个位置,然后再进行一个切换之后发现原来这个东西就是另外一个东西。
今年四六级组季会发布的样题中,关于段落信息匹配题是这样表述的:You have to identify the paragraph from which the information is derived“你需要去确认信息是来自于哪一个段落的”。换一个表达方式叫做 which paragraph contains the following information(哪一段包含了以下的信息)。接下来我们用样题来分析一下关键词定位(key words positioning) 和同义替换(paraphrasing)在段落信息匹配题中如何实践。
1、关键词定位(key words positioning)
Since the mid-1970s, the enrollment of overseas students has increased at an annual rate of 3.9 percent.
像这道题就属于比较简单的题目。这道题是来自于四级样卷的Q47,当这道题出现的时候,同学们应该关注的是划线的两个数据,而20世纪70年代中期这个数据其实它的意义绝对没有3.9%大,因为前方是一个时间段,有可能经常出现,而后方是一个具体数值,具体数值的高频可能性不大,因为对于很多人来说他们都明白越高频的单词或短语的形式越不能成为我们的核心钩划点,3.9%一旦出现就让我们在全文当中展开3.9%的寻找之旅吧!

这时我们会发现顺序再读的时候英语4级样卷的C段出现了一个3.9%,这样一个点一旦出现,这一道英语4级简单的匹配题就结束了。
2、同义替换(paraphrasing)
接下来,我们再来看另外一个匹配的情况,现在是一个稍难的版本,来自于六级样卷第52道题。

这句话的含义是一个系列的书籍都是由美国作者来完成的,警告说……
A succession of books, mainly by Americans... Sounded the alarm
这是原文的B段开头,跟它几乎是一模一样,但是很明显六级和四级相比,它的难度就有一点大了。首先,可别看错,在原文中出现一个单词叫succession,它意思是一个序列的,或者是一个系列的一拨儿的,千万不要看成了成功,整句翻译为一个序列的书主要是由美国人来做。大家仔细看一下mainly换成了mostly,而warned,警告,被换成了sounded the alarm,“拉响警笛”或“拉响警报”。由此我们发现,同义替换对于解题是非常重要的。
从这道题中给大家一个提醒:在平时一定要多做同义替换的积累,比如more and more people我们就认为这不是一个好的表达,我们可以把他升级为an increasing number of people。这个版本就要比more and more people好一些,平时多注意同义词替换方面的积累,能帮助你的阅读,也能帮助你的写作。

1、搭配不当包括主谓、动宾或主宾搭配不当,附加成分和中心语搭配不当及

深秋的岳麓山,是人们欣赏麓山红叶、登高远眺的好时候。(主宾搭配不当,可将“时候”改为“地方”或将“深秋”与“岳麓山”对调。)
同学们对学校的教育课程改革交换了广泛的意见。(修饰语和中心语搭配不当,并不是意见广泛,而是交换的范围广泛,应改为“广泛的交换了意见”。)
即使一直没有试验成功,但他一点儿也不气馁。(关联词搭配不当,将“即使”改为“虽然”。)
2、成分残缺常见的有缺主语、缺谓语、缺宾语。例如:
经过几个月的培训,使我掌握了使用多媒体的技术。(缺主语,应去掉“使”。此类题在中考中出现特多。)
无法准确判断上网者是否未成年人。(缺谓语,在“是否”后加上“是”。)
我们要尽快提高全民族的科学文化。(缺宾语,在句末加上“水平”。)
3、重复多余句子结构完整,句意清晰,仍使用了不必要的词语作句子的成分。多为语意堆砌。
……沦为一个毫无作为一事无成的庸人。(“毫无作为”和“一事无成” 语意重复,应删去其一。)
4、语序不当语序不当是多种多样的,要结合语意、语言结构等灵活分析。常见的情况有:词语的前后顺序排列不当,修饰语和中心语位置颠倒,多层修饰语语序不当,定语状语错位,关联词位置不当。例如:
华南农业大学兽医学院使用并研制了禽流感灭活油乳剂疫苗,在实验室检测中,免疫有效率可达100%。(词语的前后顺序排列不当,应将“使用”和“研制”调换位置。)
北京环保餐具联合组织在追查以滑石粉、碳醋钙甚至废塑料为原料的主要“毒餐盒”。(定语和中心语的位置颠倒,“主要”与“原料的” 调换位置。)
爱因斯坦是杰出的20世纪科学家。(多层修饰语语序不当,“20世纪”与“杰出的”应调换位置。)
为了发挥自己的充分才能,他毅然决定回国,参加中国的太空开发研究。(定语状语错位,应把“充分”移至“发挥”前面。)
5、用词不当 包括词性、词义、词的感情色彩使用不当等等。例如:
她的画简洁明快,跳动着青春的气息,一直都是同学们所喜闻乐见的。(“画”不能“喜闻”,应将“喜闻乐见”改为“喜爱”。)
美军在伊拉克的“虐囚事件”,充分展示了美国政府不尊重生命的“假人权”本质。(感情色彩使用不当,“展示”改为“暴露”。)
6、并列不当 交叉或从属概念并列一起。
全班同学和团员在课堂上都能积极发言。(“同学”和“团员”为交叉概念,可删其一)
7、句意歧义 句子失去确定性,可以这样理解,也可以那样理解的句子。
这次回母校,我又听到了许多张老师的先进事迹。(“许多”可理解为修饰“张老师” 也可理解为修饰“事迹”。可在“许多”后加“位”或将“许多”与“张老师”对调。)
8、不合事理 指在表述中,或违反逻辑思维,或违背客观情况,或前后矛盾,或否定不当,或修辞不当等,造成不合事理。例如:
书法家米蒂的故居是襄樊市新修建的汉江“外滩”。(“故居”指从前曾经居住过的房子,与“新修建”矛盾。可在“故居”后加上“所在地”。)
一些家长没有意识到这是一种病,而采用简单粗暴的方式阻止孩子不上网。(否定不当,删去“不上网”中的“不”。)
她那红润的脸蛋犹如盛开的梨花。(比喻不当,“红润的脸蛋”与白色“梨花”不相似,可将“梨花”改为“桃花”等。)
是否有“以农民为本”的理念,是解决“三农”问题的关键。(“是否”包含正反“两面”的意义,而后半句仅含正的“一面”,不能相对。可删去“是否”或在“解决”前加上“能否”。此类题出现较多。)
