Some factors may account for why the eagle was made a chicken. Firstly, the eagle was influenced by the chickens around him, scratching for food just like them without a higher goal. Secondly, the eagle failed to reflect on himself, so he didn’ know he had the potential to fly high. Finally, he lacked enough self-confidence, so he gave up his dream of flying like an eagle, just because of the discouraging words from others.
There are many such eagles in our daily life. I think we should avoid negative influences, set a high goal and work hard to achieve it. Besides, we must be confident in our potential and make good use of it to become real eagles.

一般说来，普遍的认知是，多读点书是有好处的。因为读过书的人和没有读过书的人谈吐的确不一样。读的多的和读的少的又不一样。这个我也有感觉。当然，阅历和学历无关。 日前看了一篇博文，里面讲的美国大学的牛人是如何读书的。看了人自愧不如，亦心潮澎湃。但是冷静下来想想，其实亦不然。因为这涉及到一个“目的论”的问题。 那么，读书是为了什么？ 余秋雨在青歌赛中讲述了如何读书的问题。讲得很好。易中天在实话实说里面讲了读书时谋心不是谋生的道理。我很赞同。这里我倒要说说自己的看法。 我们从小学到大学毕业，受了16年的教育。如果有人复读过，可能还要多。但这个阶段，应该讲是以谋生为目的的。大学是最最关键的时期。作为文科生，博览群书更是义务。我们中的绝大多数，书都读得比较散。因为我们在迷茫中已经分不清“谋生”和“谋心”的区别。以往就听说过，某某牛人看外文书籍比看国文还要流畅，好不羡慕。但是这个标准不是适用于任何人的。我就是一个典型的例子。我也喜欢看书，喜欢看外文，但是这种喜欢是一半是自我的意识，一半是对自我虚荣感的努力。以往泡在图书馆，读书，做笔记。记得那时在我的厚厚的笔记本的扉页上写着，“每天积累一点点，我也能成为建筑大师”的话语。现在想来，我会忍不住的笑。当然，我这里并不是说，读书无用论。我的知识面比别人宽，很大程度来源于此。但是它并不构成我面对社会的工具。因为我没有以谋生的目的去阅读。 作为土建类专业的学生，我做得还很不够。太关注叶子了，而忽略的树干。这是我入行3年后才体会的。 建筑设计，绘图软件应用，结构设计，力学知识，个人气质的训练等等，这些应该成为我们谋生的工具。因而要做拓展性的阅读。如果是一个有水平的本科，这些是要融入到个人素质中去的。带着这些到实际工程中去磨盘滚打，3-5年必有成就。而谋心的话，就广泛了。如果想增强自己面对挫折的毅力，就该多读读励志类的书籍。如果想多思考一些社会性的问题，不妨读读哲学书籍。至于有的人喜欢看杂志之类的，就不在我的讨论之类的。 有时在现实的社会面前，混口饭吃成了主要的议题。因而谋心和谋生不是由我们自己选的。我们由于各种各样的原因，一出校门，就站在的谋生的起跑线上。所以，做人，有时要认清现实，做好本分。不然，就会越位。越位的后果是可怕的。所以不要做沽名钓誉的范儿。先坚持做好这一条，不要急，不要躁，相信会有好的风景在等着我们。那是可以谋谋心了。 在我眼里，很多大学的老师其实也很垃圾的。满口的仁义道德，空洞无物。因为讲这些，是他们的谋生之路。并不见得他们有多高尚。比如，某高校教师在家中和女学生做爱，被妻子偷拍，比如七老八十的老教授被小女硕色诱上床，继而要求读博等等，等等，这样的事情太多了。以前，我觉得武汉人对大学教师不尊敬，“硕士都是狗，教授满街走”，不论讲师，教授，还是研究员都叫“教书匠”。我现在反而觉得很正确。因为老百姓看到了本质。 所以找准定位，加紧“精进”自己。这点很重要。
