如何有效开展小学英语课外阅读指导

It’s testing. 我们不是在教阅读而是在测试学生。在小学阶段，我们的任务是要激发学生的阅读兴趣，教给阅读的方法，使学生形成一定的阅读策略，而做题目显然不能达到这些目的。从以前的课例我们可以发现个别老师过分注重了测试，忽略了阅读的过程，尤其是把它上成了中学的阅读课，一开始就让学生默读、对答案，对大声朗读避之不及。这不但违反了小学生的年龄和认知特点，也是对小学阅读教学的误解。首先，阅读课教什么？以前为了怕学生不明白，阅读课上把所有生词逐个教会，每个句子解释清楚，结果把阅读课上成了精读课。专家认为，阅读课不但要教阅读，而且要教语音、教语言。从字里行间发掘可以教的任何东西，比如发音、语法、文化等，更重要的是要让学生从文章中发现：为什么？我们希望学生们从中学到什么？所以确定教学目标是阅读教学的首要任务。然后根据学生的年龄、认知水平选择合适的语言点及阅读策略。

再次，如何在小学阶段开展课外阅读？由于小学生的年龄及认知特点：遗忘快，灵活运用语言的能力差，在缺少说英语环境下将外语学好，必须依靠除课堂、教材外的大量语言信息的输入。所以，我认为我们首先要营造良好的阅读氛围，通过具体的活动如统一的课外阅读时间，让全校开展英语课外阅读，并在英语活动月期间进行评比，形成爱读书、读英语的热潮。其次要加强课外阅读的指导，促进英语教学的有效性。小学生的词汇量小、社会经验不足，因此阅读指导要从词汇积累开始，指导学生将学到的单词用摘抄的办法积累起来，还要选择适当的阅读材料，难度要相当，有趣味性，使学生有兴趣、有信心继续进行阅读。还可以开展合作学习，把成绩好的同学和中下生编在一个读书小组，大家分工合作查阅生词等，提高阅读速度和效率。
